Createful Heart Digis & Design "Red Foxes in the Snow"

My inspiration for the current challenge http://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/2017/12/createful-heart-digis-design-challenge-9.html is Red Foxes in the Snow, available here https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/543657746/red-foxes-in-the-snow-stamp-image?ga_search_query=red&ref=shop_items_search_3. It is hard to see but I have used a white Sharpie paint pen to create snow falling, a luxury we don't experience in Australia except in the snowfields, but not at this time of the year.  We are having summer weather now.

I have entered the following challenges with this card:

SBS Friends Christmas Card Swap 2017

I decided this year to take part in Simply Betty's Christmas Card Swap.  Betty gave those participating a free digi to work with "Stocking Elf".  It was a last minute decision when I saw a post for more Australians to enter.  I was actually given a lady I met at a retreat held near Canberra.  Not knowing anyone there, I was lucky to bunk in and sit at the table with Lea Wilkin.  Lea and I have been Facebook friends since then, and I guess you could say she introduced me into the world of digital stamping.  I hope Lea liked her Christmas swap and I will show you a photo of what I gave her shortly.  However, I would like to concentrate on my goodie bag I received from another fellow Aussie, Debbie Pamment.  Debbie lives in Victoria and from what I can see from the groups on Facebook I am in, she is such a talented colourist.  I am so lucky to have a card made by Debbie.  That's not all either, look at what else she gave me - chocolate sultanas, my fave Christmas treat, snakes (always a family favourite in this household), a string of lights, a Chrissie brooch which I will definitely wear on Christmas Day and I am off to my husband's work Christmas party today so I will have it on there too.  I not only got one stocking, but two, one with choccies. and two (not one, two) LaLaLand rubber stamps.  I am so lucky and guess what I have found another friend in the digital family community.  Thank you Betty for running this swap, you should be very proud bringing us all together at this time.  And now as promised, my gift to Lea - socks, Star Wars crackers for her grandsons, a Christmas T-shirt for Lea, a bear notebook because I know she likes bears, bananas and musk sticks and Christmas socks and of course her card and a card for her mum, Elaine, who I met on the retreat too.

I hope I catch up with Lea again at a retreat, quite possible as we both live in NSW,
and thank you Debbie for your gifts. I have been so spoilt. Now the lowdown on the Swap Hop.

Now let me show you what I created for the Challenge #7 Blog Hop!

For the Christmas themed card, I have chosen Hettie Hedgehog's Christmas List. I decided to go with a square card to give myself plenty of room to decorate.  I began with a white shimmer card and used some papers from the Kaisercraft Mint Wishes 6 1/2" Paper Pad to build up the layers.  I die-cut the brown doily (don't ask me the brand of die, I have so many...). I coloured Mary's image with Copics to match the colours in the paper pad, added some flowers and a flair from my stash and of course, my go-to chipboard from Make It Crafty. Christmas is coloured with a Copic and the frame is embossed with  Stampendous Fran-tage Shabby white embossing enamel and Wink of Stella to finish.  I have put an insert in the card in case my recipient would like to re-gift the card  I have used washi tape (gold with stars) so it can be easily removed and the sentiment is from good-old Google.

Well, I hope you are enjoying our Challenge #7/Blog Hop 2017 celebrating Christmas and be sure to get to "hopping" and leaving a comment on each DT's blog, as well as getting your Christmas card entered into the challenge.  Have fun!

Imagine that Digistamp November 2017 Link-up

For this month's link-up I have chosen the freebie from last month "Thanks a Bunch". Into my stash again, for a gold doily and some autumn coloured (sorry Fall for those on the other side of the world) flowers to compliment the autumn tones I used with my Copics.  Kristy, from Imagine that Digistamp, thank you once again for giving out these link-up freebies each month.  If you want to join the Facebook Group to see what I am on about here is the link, you won't be disappointed

Mari Ko Creations New Release 15th November 2017

Welcome to a little inspiration for the recent Mari Ko Creations digital stamp release.  Mari has put together another 12 images to add to her Etsy Shop https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/CreationsbyMariK?ref=l2-shopheader-name. Some of these images will be great for CAS Christmas cards.  I have played with Little Snowman Gets Silly and Evie and Pablo Christmas.  The red doily I actually made, my first experiment with moulds, bit of a learning curb but enjoyable.  I love the idea of making some of my own embellies, although I should just use what I have in my stash first, lol.  If you aren't a member of Mari's Facebook Group, please check it out too https://www.facebook.com/groups/109728339790268/ and join up.  You will get a lot of inspiration from Mari; she is a fantastic colourist and papercrafter who is now delving into the digital stamp industry. I am privileged to be working with her on her DT Team.  While you are on the group page or on Etsy check out the Thankful Heart digi https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/556082170/thank-you-heart-digital-stamp-set-300?ref=shop_home_active_1 on special at the moment for the current challenge https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/556082170/thank-you-heart-digital-stamp-set-300?ref=shop_home_active_1.  This is a beautiful image that deserves to be in your collection and a great one to start off your experience of challenges with Mari.  Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you over at Mari Ko Creations on Facebook.

Scrapper's Delights New Release

Scrapper's Delights' November new release is Nurse Digi Set 1 and Nurse Digi Set 2.  Both feature those hard-working women, in uniform dresses or pants.  Here I am having a play with Nurse Digi Set 2.  I decided to make a thank you card for the nurses after a hospital visit. There are always thank you cards in the wards from patients.

I have entered the following challenges:

Oddball Art Blog Challenge October/November 2017

Sorry Lizzy, I know the optional theme was Cemeteries, but I have already entered one with that theme, and wanted to use a couple of your other digis that I have had printed out for a while. I have used one of the ripped frames https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/293895567/instant-download-ripped-paper-frames?ga_search_query=torn&ref=shop_items_search_1  along with  Zeddy the Zebra https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/231966656/digi-stamp-digital-instant-download?ga_search_query=zebra&ref=shop_items_search_1
I have "Copiced" Zeddy (or what is left of him after merging with the ripped paper frame and I also changed the colour of the frame as I wanted to make a baby card.  The chipboard words came from Zoe at Make It Crafty, my favourite chipboard store http://www.makeitcrafty.com/

Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday 16th November 2017

Christmas would not be Christmas without reindeers, so for my Thrifty Thursday inspiration, coloured with Copics of course.  I decided to use a shimmery mauve cardstock for a change from the usual Christmas colours and because purple and mauve are my favourite colours.  I have chosen Deer 5 to play with.  He can be found here http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=1046.  I have combined him with our globe digi available here http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_97&products_id=729. It is easy to combine Scrapper's Delights Christmas images to create beautiful scenes. Be sure to keep an eye out at the shop http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ for any specials on Christmas/Winter digis so you can finish your Christmas card list and tags.

Bugaboo Stamps "Santa Called"

I love Bugaboo's Stella stamps and when I saw this one coloured by someone on Facebook, I just knew I had to source it.  I knew it was a Bugaboo image, but I couldn't find it on the website.  After emailing Jodie, I found out it was one she had not transferred over from the old site and she put it on the new site straightaway.  What a great sentiment comes with it!

Scrapper's Delights November Progressive Challenge

November's Progressive Challenge is Deer 6,  part of Scrapper's Delights' new release which was showcased on the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group last weekend.  You may have been lucky enough to pick this cute little deer up there.  For my card, I have used one of Scrapper's Delights Winter Background Toppers
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_97&products_id=808. These background toppers are great to design a quick scene.  I have printed Deer 6 out as different sizes and flipped one of them, colouring them with Copics of course.  I came up with the sentiment myself. It is getting close to sending out those Christmas cards so have a think about using this little deer with or without some of our toppers.  The store link is here http://scrappersdelights.com/store/

I am entering the following challenges with this card:

Createful Heart Digis & Design 1900's Wedding Couple - 31st October 2017

My inspiration for Challenge #5 over at Createful Heart Digis & Design https://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/ comes in the form of 1900's Wedding Couple https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/556209247/1900s-wedding-couple-vintage-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_15. I have made an Anniversary card with a vintage theme.  I hope it comes across that way anyhow.  I have distressed the edges of my design paper, added an embossed piece of cardstock that was embossed and inked.  I have coloured the image with Copics, added a brad that has the same pattern on it as the design paper and my embellishments include a resin border from The Resin Rainbow https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/theresinrainbow?ref=l2-shopheader-name&section_id=16222515 and some flowers and pearls from my stash also.  I hope you like my inspiration for this month and don't forget our fortnightly challenges over on our blog https://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/
If you haven't heard of Createful Heart Digis & Design, please check us out at the Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Createfulheartdigis?ref=l2-shopheader-name and at our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1802862793362586/

The Outlawz Challenges - October 2017 Progressive Challenge "The General Store"

This month's progressive challenge image is courtesy of Mary at Createful Heart Digis & Design.  The image is called "The General Store" and is available from Mary's Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/540302250/the-general-store-vintage-image-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_24.  I decided to do a general card to be used for whatever you want, for a friend, a new acquaintance or even a thank you.  The sentiment I found could cover quite a few different scenarios.  I mounted the image with blue cardstock and the card base is from a pack of pre-printed card bases  purchased from Kmart only yesterday. The pack has vintage themes, so will come in very handy for future vintage images from Createful Heart.

Imagine that Digistamp October 2017 Link-up

For this month's link-up at Imagine that Digistamp, I have chosen to make a Sympathy card with the image "Poppy" and the sentiment from the Matt 5-4 Image both available at the shop https://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html. If you're quick you can pick the Matt 5-4 image up for free as it is still in the freebies category.

Gerda Steiner October 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month Gerda has kindly given us "Raccoon" to play with and what a cutie he is!  I have coloured him with Copics and my background stamp of tree stumps was the perfect backdrop.  Thanks for dropping by and as usual a big thank you to Gerda for her progressive challenge each month.

Creepy Cute Halloween Candy & Bone

Oddball Art Stamps by Lizzy Love has kindly given us this digi to work with in October.  I decided to make yet another treat bag just in case I get some callers for lollies at Halloween or maybe my grandchildren will be going trick or treat, will have to check.  I showcased this in the Oddball Facebook Group and I will also enter their blog challenge with it.

Digistamps4Joy "Happy Birthday"

October's progressive challenge for Digistamps4Joy Facebook Group is this fantastic digi "Happy Birthday".  I have used a pastel card with designer paper, but I have also printed the digi directly onto some digi paper and printed an extra copy of the digi so I can foam mount some of the elements - two balloons and three letters.  I hope you like the sentiment also.  Thank you for stopping by.  I have entered the following:

Ericraft Stamps "Scaredy Jacks"

I couldn't resist making another treat bag with this new digi in the Etsy shop now https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/563671281/digital-stamp-scaredy-jacks-300dpi-jpeg?ref=shop_home_active_2 and guess what it is a special price for Halloween.  I do not send Halloween cards, but I thought some of these treat bags would come in handy if a little one comes knocking on my door.  I could give them a bag with some lollies already in it, although last year I did not get one knocker!  Be sure to check out the whole Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/EricraftShop?ref=l2-shopheader-name because Scaredy Jacks is NOT the only image discounted.  I guess the next time I post for Ericraft Stamps it will be for Christmas inspiration, so don't be a stranger!

Ericraft Stamps New Release October 2017

This is one of the latest releases from Ericraft Stamps, "Rachel to the Sea".  She can be found here https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/548136748/digital-stamp-rachel-to-the-sea-300dpi?ref=shop_home_active_3 at a reduced price but be quick. This is such a lovely scene, cre
ated by Erica, based on a photo of her daughter, that I just had to find a suitable quote to go with it.  As you can see I need some practice on the ocean, but I really enjoyed colouring this piece of serenity.

I have entered the following challenges:

Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday - 19th October 2017

October's theme is Halloween with most digi companies I might add, so of course, Scrapper's Delights is focussing on the Halloween section of the shop http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89_157&sort=20a&page=1
You will also find some great images and backgrounds in the Gothic section and if you are lucky enough you will pick up some discounted prices there too.  I have used on my treat bag Bat Women 1
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_157&products_id=626 and the background I have mounted her on is http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_107&products_id=793. There are a few toppers in that bundle so it is definitely a great deal and especially good when it is discounted for Halloween.  Thank you for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

Tiddly Inks Theme #3

I think I have made it in time with my third entry to Tiddly Inks 2:3 challenge.  This theme is Anything Goes and seeing we are in October and on the home stretch to Christmas 2017, I have chosen to design a Chrissie card. I have used Christmas Cutie - Emma available here https://www.tiddlyinks.com/digital-stamps/christmas-cutie-emma-digital-stamp/  Last week I bought a Kaisercraft Mint Wishes 6 x 6 pad because it caught my eye as it did not have red in it for Christmas. I do love red, but occasionally it is nice to use a different set of colours for Christmas.  Of course I had to buy the diecuts that matched. The round sentiment was in that pack and the little blue flower is from my never-ending stash.  I have really enjoyed this challenge at https://blog.tiddlyinks.com/2017/10/23-challenge-a-50-gift-certificate-and-more-up-for-grabs.html/comment-page-1#comment-7164

Whenever I make a Christmas card I always put it on the Kerst/Christmas Group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.1910729115611650&type=3

Tiddly Inks Take 2

I told you I would be back.  This time with Theme #2 - Girly Girl of the 2:3 Challenge for Tiddly Inks. https://blog.tiddlyinks.com/2017/10/23-challenge-a-50-gift-certificate-and-more-up-for-grabs.html/comment-page-1#comment-7141 For this birthday card I have used Fairy Flower for You https://www.tiddlyinks.com/whats-new/flower-fairy-for-you-2-versions/ I die cut a small doily out of glitter card, a couple of hearts from The Resin Rainbow https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/theresinrainbow?ref=shop_sugg and some Make It Crafty Chipboard http://www.makeitcrafty.com/
I am really enjoying this challenge.  I have had quite a few Tiddly Inks digital stamps for a while and probably like many of you reading my blog, do not use them enough. If you want to get into the blog challenges on Tiddly Inks, check out the blog here https://blog.tiddlyinks.com/2017/10/23-challenge-a-50-gift-certificate-and-more-up-for-grabs.html/comment-page-1#comment-7141

Ericraft Stamps "Sir Guinea Pig"

Sir Guinea Pig has graced us with his presence at the Ericraft Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/548134920/digital-stamp-sir-guinea-pig-300dpi-jpeg?ref=shop_home_active_2 and if you love guinea pigs as I do (they have been a family pet for generations in my family including myself, my children and my grandchildren) you won't be able to resist him and check out the price, he is discounted at the moment.  He looks pretty steampunk to me, so I have added some cogs (what is steampunk without cogs?). I have made him into a birthday card and I am thinking the card might be use for my grandson'sw birthday next year.  Easy just add a number and it becomes a perfect age card.  Thank you for stopping by and don't forget grab Sir Guinea Pig before the price changes!

I am entering the following challenges with this card:

This month's Progressive Challenge freebie is the "Ghosts".  They are so cute.  For this inspiration card I have also used one of the Gothic Project Topper backgrounds.  If you participated last month, or are a newbie to our progressive monthly challenge, you can request the Ghosts over on our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/, or you can purchase it at a reduced price this month. Here is the link http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82&products_id=779. When you are looking around the store, I am sure you will find other Halloween images on special to compliment your Ghosts creation.  I have also used a Boo! chipboard piece from Make it Crafty and a cat punch from Stampin' Up which I love.  Thank you for stopping by and checking out my Halloween card. I don't celebrate Halloween but I could not resist using the background with the black cat for some inspiration for those who do, however I chose to make my inspiration into an October birthday card and made up the sentiment myself for a birthday and used the word Purrfect because of the cats.  I am entering the following with this card:

Oddball Art Stamps "Ziggy"

I have used Ziggy for a New Year card.  The embossing folder behind the image has clocks on it and I have used sequin stars to celebrate the occasion.  The original image has one balloon attached to the ledge Ziggy is sitting on, but I added a couple more and filled all of them with text.  I am entering the following:
