Imagine That Digistamp March 2017

This month I have used "Frogs in Love" just for a general card to show your love for someone.  This month I have used my prismacolor pencils instead of Copics - needless to say I am still learning how to use them!  Thank you Imagine That Digistamp for this digi set.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #2

For this month's challenge, I have decided to showcase a digital stamp from Ericraft, this month's challenge sponsor.  This stamp is called "Merry Cocky".  I love using Aussie stamps as our Christmas is in the summer season - no snow for us Aussies!  I have also used some chipboard from Scrapmatts, another Australian company.  The holly sprig I coloured with Copics but the bauble was already in that shade.

From the Heart Stamps - Free Stamp of the Month March 2017

This month's free stamp is Lucky Lil Birdie.  She is so cute and great for St Patrick's Day cards (if you celebrate the day) or for any card where you want to wish the recipient Good Luck.  Thank you From the Heart Stamps,  for another cutie freebie!

The Outlawz March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month we have a beautiful image "Spring Window" from Beccy's Place. From a fellow Australian I thank you Beccy for this digi.  When I saw the window, I thought straightaway I must use bricks as a background and I could not resist adding a few cats, my favourite pet.  Thank you for looking at my card and don't forget to check out Beccy's Place.  She has some lovely digital stamps and lots of technique tutorials on her website.

Gerda Steiner Designs - March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month's challenge is using Bee Strong image kindly provided by Gerda.  This is another attempt with the Prismacolor pencils, not sure how I am going, maybe it will be back to the Copics next month.

Scrapper's Delights Inspirations 16th March 2017

For my inspirational card for this fortnight's Inspiration Thursday, I have used Fantasy Mushrooms 1  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_161&products_id=742 as the background and the free image Easter Bunny in the foreground mounted with foam tape. As I forgot on my progressive challenge piece for March, I have used the DT Optional Twist Theme recipe of purple, 3 flowers and ribbon. Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday 2nd March 2017



This month's Progressive Challenge freebie at the Facebook Scrapper's Delights* Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/  is "Easter Basket" and as inspiration I have added Baby Boo Bunny Boo to my creations.  This image is available at http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3_75&products_id=666
Bit of a story to go with this creation - I was getting into the Easter mode and thought the bunny suit would be nice in pink and then when I finished my card I realised I was working with Baby Boo Boy, not Baby Boo Girl which is also available in the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3_75&products_id=667
Well not all girls have plaits do they and boys look good in pink?  Baby Boo Bunny Boo has such a cute face, he/she could be either.  What a versatile stamp1

Imagine That Digistamp February Link-up

This month I have chosen "Hello Kitties" from, of course, Imagine That Digistamp.  I love any cat/kitten images, they get me in every time.  I decided to leave this card blank for any occasion.  I think just the "Hello" says enough on the front and then you can write whatever you wish inside.  Maybe a thank you note, or just a note to let a friend know how you value their friendship.  I have fussy cut a second image and cut out the flowers and mounted them with foam tape, so they pop.  Hope you like my creation.  See you next month.

From the Heart Stamps February Free Stamp of the Month Challenge

It was so good to hear that Faith from From the Heart Stamps was back with the Free Stamp of the Month Challenge.  I wish her all the best as her health improves day by day, but don't overdo it Faith - your followers will understand if you miss a month - your health comes first.  This month we were given "Hogs and Kisses" a great digi for Valentine's Day.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #01

For my third entry in the above challenge, I have chosen yet another Aussie artist's digi - Naz again from Sasayaki Glitter.  I am getting in early this year with creating Christmas cards.  I just love this image but didn't get around to using it last Christmas.  It is called "Shy Christmas Present".  Shy is featured in more of Naz's images.  He is so cute and shy too!

This is my second entry for the above challenge.  This time I have used a Sasayaki Glitter image "Turtle and Duck". I decided to make a get well card with this digi and my colouring of Turtle certainly did make him look sick, but Duck is there to help him.

We have three new giraffe images to introduce to you to add to the other three already in the store, as well as the clip art for those images.  For my inspiration card I have coloured with copics and of course, gone into my stash.  Remember those felt flower strips, I found an idea for them finally!  I am sure Janice is going to put these in the shop http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ at a discounted price, so grab them before they increase in price.  I know I am going to purchase them all too, so I can have a .......... sorry, just had to Google what a group of giraffes is called.  You learn something every day - A group of giraffes standing still is called a tower but a group of giraffes in motion is called a jenny. Well I never, didn't know that.  Get that tower of giraffes straightaway, I notice the other three that were released a couple of weeks ago, are still at a great price!

Scrapper's Delights Thursday Inspiration 16th February 2017

What a cute image this is!  As soon as I saw it I thought it would be great to use for baby cards and also for Easter.  Who says we have to have a bunny or a chicken on Easter cards, let's work with Gus, he is so cute!.  Don't ask me why I picked blue for the baby card, no reason, just a baby card for my stash. Actually I enjoyed making this one so much, I might do a similar one in pink soon. 

The materials I used for this card were, of course, out of my stash - white card blank, Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock for the Crafts Too Butterfly embossing folder, which was lightly sanded after embossing.  My colouring was done with Copics, the sentiments were SU and the cute wood veneers came from Studio Calico.  It is fun shopping in my stash, but sometimes the items I know I have, are a little hard to find.  I guess some of you can relate to that.  Don't forget to check out https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/ and if you haven't joined yet put in a request.  We have lots of fun, with freebies, challenges and you get to see all the new releases as well as being on the spot for some great bargains at sale times.  Take a look at the Scrapper's Delights store  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ and check out the Thrifty $$$ Deals section - there is some great digis there at the moment at half the normal price.  See you next time - Happy Crafting!
