Bugaboo Stamps Guest DT - October 2019

I am honoured to be a guest DT for Bugaboo Stamps, as a result of my win in their Christmas in July challenge.

The first inspiration I have done is a card for Anything Goes over at Catch the Blog Challenges.

I have worked with Frame It - For You Flower.  What a lovely stamp, and so versatile, could be for any occasion.  Here is my card:

I recently bought this digi when it came out.  Mind you, when I buy,  I really have to scrutinise my stash of Bugaboo.  I have been buying Jodie's digis probably from the time I first got into digis from the old shop, and her new, so I have to regularly check if I have a new one that pops up from the old shop.

My card base is pale pink, with designer paper.  I coloured the image with copics and added three resin glitter butterflies purchased from a small Australian business Corbett Creations Wood Veneers.

I have also used a chipboard word from Make It Crafty, another favourite business of mine.

MKC Digitals - "Poinsettia Jar"

MKC Digitals December Release is filled with fun images for Christmas.  Today I am focussing on "Poinsettia Jar".  I have made a folded gift card, seen here with the envelope.  I have cut out the image and placed it on the cardstock with foam tape.  The chipboard words are from Make It Crafty, my favourite Australian chipboard supplier, who ships all over the world.  Actually Zoe's website is in US$ to make it easier for overseas purchasers.

Unfortunately MKC Digitals shop is down for maintenance at the moment, but keep checking.  Don't forget Christmas/Winter images will be 40% off for the entire month of December, so you still have time to grab a bargain or two.

SheepSki Designs October 2018 Blog Challenge

This month our theme over at SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge is Fantasy and/or Wings.  I must say it was a hard choice because Andrea has lots in the Etsy shop to cover that theme.  I can't wait to see what else the Design Team came up with.  My choice was Peggy - Image No. 109 available here

I have coloured Peggy with Copics, BGs for the wings and Cool Greys for the rest.  The lace panel at the front is actually a mold made from No More Gaps.  I experimented a while ago with it, and was just waiting for the right project to add it to.  The moon and stars chipboard and the word Sparkle are both from my fave chipboard supplier here in Australia, Make it Crafty.  I coloured the moon and stars with Wink of Stella and on the front part of the word I used BG34 and BG32.

LeAnn's World 101 "Cindy"

This month's progressive challenge at LeAnn's World 101 features "Cindy".  I have been wanting to join in this challenge for a while, but either run out of time or forget, so this month I decided to purchase the stamp and give it a go.  Here is my creation.  I guess you could say it's an inspiration card.

"Reindeer Sprite" by Stamps by AuroraWings

I just love Mitzi's Sprites - if I haven't purchased all of them yet, I will!  Today I made a Christmas card for her challenge this month https://aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com/2018/09/mid-challenge-inspiration-post-for.html and it's a sketch.

I have used some Make It Crafty chipboard for this sketch.  Here are the links to the two pieces I have used and I still have more holly on the set I can use.  I have coloured the chipboard and image with Copics and added some sparkle to the chipboard with Ink of Stella Clear.

Update

Orchid Fairy

I was asked by a friend to make a 21st card for her grand-daughter.  I have a huge selection of digital stamps by Aurora Wings.  Sometimes I will just open the folder and look at the beauty of them.  I have in the past, printed some but that is as far as I go with them, as I feel I cannot do them justice, so I just continue to look at them and of course, add to my collection, whenever there is a new release.

Well, the request from my friend was it - no procrastinating this time!  I was going to go into my folder and I chose "Orchid Fairy" available in Mitzi's store here

I have used this store since it was opened because I found it easier to put my images in the same sections Mitzi has listed - before that I did purchase from her Etsy shop which she also uses to showcase her talent.

Here is my card, I have coloured the image with Copics, used a card blank and the chipboard down the sides from Scrapmatts and the chipboard words are from Make It Crafty.

The Outlawz June 2018 Progressive Challenge

Oddball Art Stamps "Sleeping Fox"

My first post as a Design Team member of Oddball Art Stamps; wow, so surprised I got this gig with such a well known digital company. Well here goes - the January 2018 Blog Challenge Theme is "Feature a Creature", always optional of course.  For this inspiration I checked out my Oddball collection and found "Sleeping Fox", what a cutie! Here is my photo of the image, I took a quote from Google and added it to the back of the fox, quite effective I think.  From there I thought, now what sort of card will this be and the rest evolved.  You will find the Blog challenge under current blog challenges over at  Oddball Art Stamps.



This image is available in the Etsy shop and it is at a really good price too!  I wasn't sure what to do with this image now it was mounted on the card and then I remembered some fox design paper I had in my stash.  Then came the idea of using some pre-made stepper cards I bought ages ago, just the right colour - kraft; and from that I came up with a birthday card for a friend.  The quote helped me come up with that. Here is another couple of photos to showcase the card.  I have also used some Make It Crafty chipboard, my favourite chipboard for cards and a couple of embellishments from Rainbow Splendour, another Aussie business.

Now let me show you what I created for the Challenge #7 Blog Hop!

For the Christmas themed card, I have chosen Hettie Hedgehog's Christmas List. I decided to go with a square card to give myself plenty of room to decorate.  I began with a white shimmer card and used some papers from the Kaisercraft Mint Wishes 6 1/2" Paper Pad to build up the layers.  I die-cut the brown doily (don't ask me the brand of die, I have so many...). I coloured Mary's image with Copics to match the colours in the paper pad, added some flowers and a flair from my stash and of course, my go-to chipboard from Make It Crafty. Christmas is coloured with a Copic and the frame is embossed with  Stampendous Fran-tage Shabby white embossing enamel and Wink of Stella to finish.  I have put an insert in the card in case my recipient would like to re-gift the card  I have used washi tape (gold with stars) so it can be easily removed and the sentiment is from good-old Google.

"Amy Sending Kisses" Sweet Escape Digis

I made this card for my grand-daughter Verity for her 9th birthday.  The years are definitely going so fast, it only seemed yesterday when she was born.  I used this sweet digital stamp from Sweet Escape and coloured it with Copics.  I had some custom flairs made a fair while ago to use on my scrapbooking pages, but lately have been only doing cardmaking so I decided to use one on this card for her.  I have also used Make It Crafty chipboard which can be found here http://www.makeitcrafty.com/ .  I just love these two-piece chipboards Zoe sells and she is a great Aussie digital artist too.  I am entering the following with this card:

Createful Heart Digis & Design "Bouquet of Red Poppies"

Today I have decided to use "Bouquet of Red Poppies digital stamp from Createful Heart Digis & Design for my first go at the Outlawz "Sketch Challenge".  I had just finished colouring it in orange shades (I have to be different from the title) and decided to go looking as to what to do with it, into the Outlawz Challenges vault I went and signed up for the Sketch Challenge.  I really love this layout, so clean and simple.  I have gone with "Make it Crafty" chipboard in the small size, as truth be known I probably did the digital stamp a little big, before I knew what I was going to create with it.  I just love flower stamps and Mary at Createful Heart Digis & Design has some beauties.  I think I might have told you that in a previous post.  You can check out the Etsy store here https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Createfulheartdigis.  I think I am going to stock up on some more of Zoe's chipboard too. http://www.makeitcrafty.com/chipboard-embellishments.html
