The Outlawz April Progressive Challenge

The Outlawz April 2019 Progressive Challenge image has been donated by Oddball Art Co, available here.  Thank you for this image.  I have made a simple birthday card using an embossing folder, the digi coloured with Copics, sequins and a ribbon to ground the image.

Oddball Art Co. Christmas Cards

Well, Oddballs, any celebrations you attended for "Christmas in July" are done and dusted and we are on the downward slide to Christmas 2018 - where did the year go?

Our Oddball theme is "Lost Souls of Innocent Dolls".  Well, ever since I heard that theme, all I could think of  was all the little girls in the world asking Santa for dolls, so I decided to pick out an image that reminded me of a little girl and I came up with

#357: Alex at Christmas Holiday Alex: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-kawaii-big-eye-alex-at-christmas-holiday-alex-image-no-357

For added interest I also used

#260: Cute Kawaii Bear on Stack of Presents: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-cute-kawaii-bear-on-stack-of-presents-image-no-260

and #97: Kawaii Bunny One Dollar Stamp: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/printable-stamp-kawaii-bunny-digital-download-image-no-97

Hope you like the start of my cards for Christmas 2018, say it slower and it might not get here so fast.

I also made this last one using an image I purchased from Oddball Stamps, even before I became a DT member. This is the link #389: Christmas the capricious carolers: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-big-eye-whimsical-christmas-the-capricious-carolers-image-no-389
This image is great for Christmas cards and also includes sentiments. Please don't forget when purchasing from our shop include my discount code to save you 10% on your order.

I'm at it again, can't get enough ATCs

For my post for Oddball Art Stamps, I am reminding members of our Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/OddballArtStamps/ that our July ATC/Coin Swap is coming to a close soon.  This is my inspiration for the reminder:

The link for the ATC Swap is here https://www.oddballartco.com/community/oddball-art-swaps/welcome-to-the-oddball-art-atc-swap-for-july-2018.  This is where your ATCs will be added for the swap.  The closing date is 23rd July and partners are allocated on 24th July, by our Host Tina Focking.

The images I have used on these ATCs are

Top 2 -  Lazy Louise

The ATC Coin also has Torn Paper Frames, a fun image to have in your digital stamps stash.

Next we have Cool Hippie Flower Power Peace Van

And last, but not least, I have used a previous Newsletter freebie https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-paper-10pc-dots-doodles-8-5-x-11-300dpi-by-lizzy-love now available to purchase in the shop.  I have added Spooky Cute Bed Sheet Ghost.

Oddball Art Stamps - Lazy Louise

Today I have made a birthday card using Lazy Louise N Bath Time Bubble Friends IMG#121.  Our optional theme at Oddball Art Co. this month is Dots and Doodles, so I thought this image was perfect with the dots on the bath and the bubbles.

I have used a shimmery card for the background.  I was lazy and just folded the card, but I am not happy with the fold.  I am now thinking if I had of scored it first, I might not have got the ragged edge.  I must remember that with this A5 shimmery cardstock.  I have coloured the image with Prismacolors, something I have not quite mastered yet but working on it.  My biggest problem is knowing which side of the Canson Mi-Teintes I prefer.  I have used two different sentiments to finish off this card, one from Simply Betty and the other from Imagine that Digistamp, a few sequins, a scrap of paper, a doily I made myself from a mold and a couple of flowers from my never-ending stash and she's done.

Thank you for looking at my blog today, see you next time.

If you like Lazy Louise she can be purchased here and feel free to use my discount code to get a further 10% off your order

Oddball Art Stamps July 2018 ATC Reminder

This month at Oddball Art Stamps our theme is "Dots and Doodles".  I had lots of fun with this theme, not sure whether to use the theme in the background or in the image, I attempted both. Here are some backgrounds dotted and doodled.  Also for this month's swap Lizzy and Tina decided to add ATC Coins to our swap.  As it was short notice, members have the choice, coins or cards, or a mix of both.

The one on the left is halfway through the process as I decided to colour more doodling in.

I have gone a bit berserk with ATCs this month and here are the results, not sure which ones to use yet for the swap.  The extras will probably make it into my swap goodies, but who knows, I might not want to part with some and keep them for my own collection.

For the left ATC I have used Img#121 (just the face) with Img# 334 Frame.  In the right ATC I have Fay the Fancy Fairy, available as a rubber stamp in the store and the Newsletter freebie sentiment from our Newsletter.

This left one has a background using a Newsletter Freebie paper  Space Skulls available in the shop now and a cloud from Img #28.  The right one is Img#381 and recognise the background from my background photos.

My last ATC is a coin, another ATC format we are trying at Oddball Stamps.  They are so easy to create - I am a fan!  Here I have used the Baby Elephant from Img#365 and I have used one of the Dots and Doodles digital paper on his body.

I hope you like my array of ATCs and join us in the July ATC Swap.  Don't forget if you are following any of the links to the images I have used, you can use my discount code to save a further 10% on your order.

Oddball Art Stamps - Postcards

I have been seeing so many lovely creations that arrive with my ATC swaps each month, so I have decided to give this postcard thing a go and send them with my ATCs.  First of all I found a postcard back to use on some that represented that I live in Australia and that mail can take a while from my country to its destination, something that is frustrating me to no end.  Next I printed out the freebie paper Lizzy kindly gave us in the first newsletter, first just on copy paper. Ok so I have postcard backs and patterned paper, I then matted the patterned paper on cardstock and put the postcard on the back.

As you see I then decorated the front with IMG442, a digi specially designed for our Mermaids from Outer Space June theme.  The digi is available here https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-mermaids-from-outerspace-image-no-442.  Now with these postcards I have an Oddball image on the front and I can use the back to send a little message to my swap partner.

Now I thought, let's change it up a bit and print on cardstock.  I decided to find another postcard template.  This time I wanted to try doing everything on one side.  I use Publisher for setting up my digi stamps, only because, I am more familiar with it due to many years of newsletters for various groups my kids and I have belonged to.  I always got the newsletter editor jobs and that's why I purchased Publisher.  Word probably works the same, but I guess it is just what you are used to!  I set up 4 postcards to a page and began putting text and a few miscellaneous Oddball images on the page.  This is printed on ordinary cardstock, and if the Copics are not successful on this, I will just use other markers.  I also printed on my Copic cardstock, another Mermaids in Outer Space image, larger this time, because I must admit I went a little too small the last time, which made me not as happy with my colouring.

Here is the finished product and some spares for me to use on future swaps.

Postcards for my ATC Swaps, so happy with this project.  Now I have more options of what to send with my ATCs.

Don't forget our Blog Challenge this month with the optional theme of Mermaids of Outer Space.  Here is the link to Blog Challenge

Starlynn Queen of the Spooky Starlight Sugar Web Fairies Image No 160

I am continuing the Oddball inspiration for May using Starlynn Queen of the Spooky Starlight Sugar Web Fairies, that's a mouthful Lizzy.  She is IMG160 and she is adorable.  Don't forget we are phasing out the Etsy shop, so now all images are being moved over to the new website https://www.oddballartco.com and the link direct to Starlynn is https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digi-stamp-starlynn-queen-of-the-spooky-starlight-sugar-web-fairies-image-no-160

For the sentiment I have used the one with IMG217 Nixie the Pixie available here.  I love the versatility of Oddball digi stamps;  they can be mixed and matched so easily.

I did not have a clue where this project was going when I started colouring.  I just knew I wanted to use the Red and Yellow Copic shades.  I started it at home and ended up taking the Copics I wanted to use to a Retreat last weekend.  I wanted to relax at the retreat, I had a couple of hectic weeks with the failure of my hard drive so I thought I would mostly play around making backgrounds, some for ATCs and whatever else developed from that.  Well when I made this yellow gold one, I knew my card for this post was coming together.  I had not taken much in the way of coloured cardstock, well none really, but one of my friends had some blue shades she was offering to anyone, so I jumped at this one.  I hope you like my inspiration for Goblins, Fairies and Ghouls Oh My! theme and don't forget my discount code over at the shop.  Don't forget now

                                                                  DTGAIL10

By the way, don't forget IMG160 comes with two facial expressions that Lizzy uses on many of her images, what a bargain!!!!

Fay the Fancy Fairy

Hey Oddball Fans,

Do we have a special surprise for you.  Lizzy from Oddball Art Co. still has some of her images available in red rubber and now that her new website is coming along nicely, she has decided to start listing them.  The first one up on the website shop is Fay the Fancy Fairy.  She is the cutest and comes with a sentiment already - https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/rubber-stamp-fay-the-fancy-fairy

Go to https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/rubber-stamp-fay-the-fancy-fairy and check out this red rubber stamp.  You will find Lizzy has very limited supplies of these exclusive stamps and when they are gone, they are gone, and guess what, I tried my discount code on the rubber stamp and it works, so you are good for a 10% discount off the price of the red rubber stamp if you use my code

                                                                   DTGAIL10

Take a look at Oddball's new website, it is evolving quite nicely, be sure to sign up for an account, as well as the newsletter (top right corner);  if your name is registered who knows what freebies and specials you may receive once Lizzy has completed the huge task of  creating a new website and transferring her shop over from Etsy.

https://www.oddballartco.com/

There is lots to browse, let your fingers do the walking and check out every nook and cranny and familiarise yourself with the Community tab, which includes the forum with tips and tutorials and the challenge blog is now attached to this website too.

Now the other purpose of introducing Fay the Fancy Fairy is to remind you about our monthly ATC swap.  I have already entered two ATCs into the album, but I have also made a Fay the Fancy Fairy ATC for our May theme, Goblins, Fairies and Ghouls, Oh My!  She will also be going into the album and some lucky participant in this month's swap will receive her - a Special Edition ATC I think we will call her.  So if you haven't put your name down for this month's swap, do it now and you could be the lucky one to receive this special edition ATC.  Go to our Facebook group now and sign up.  You will find the ATC Swap posted in the pinned post and our host this month is Jennifer Greco and she would love to see your name there.  We would love to see some new faces and styles.  ATCs are great fun and if you are strapped for time, you only need to make one to join in the fun.  ATCs are fun all the time, no matter what the present craze is, you can't go past the fun in receiving an envelope from who knows where - Canada, America, Australia, Sweden, Germany Finland - I could go on - anywhere in the world - and the friendships you form from one little rectange 2.5" x 3.5" are AMAZING to say the least.

Have I convinced you yet to take the plunge, here is the link  to join our group

https://www.facebook.com/groups/OddballArtStamps/

and if you are already a member of our group, here is the link direct to this month's swap

https://www.facebook.com/events/969255743252926/

See you next post and remember Fay the Fancy Fairy is not available as a digi, only red rubber and stocks of each rubber stamp Lizzy lists on the website will be limited.

Oddball Art Co. May ATC Swap

At Oddball Art Co. we continue our monthly theme with our ATC Swap.  May's theme is Goblins, Fairies and Ghouls Oh My!  I have created two ATCs to swap using IMG#171 Gwendolyn the Ghoul.

IMG#171 has two images to it, so it is great value.  Gwendolyn is available here https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-creepycute-zombie-girl-171

Oddball Art Stamps Nixie the Pixie IMG#217

It is Goblins, Fairies & Ghouls Oh My! month at Oddball Art Stamps and I have chosen as my inspiration IMG#217 Nixie the Pixie.  She is such a cute fairy amongst mushrooms and of course there is a butterfly there too - perfect for a birthday card for a special little girl.  This image is available in the Oddball shop

https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-whimsical-big-eye-fairy-nixie-the-pixie-image-no-217

I hope you like my inspiration and you check the shop out for fairies, ghouls and goblins, a perfect theme for Oddball Art Stamps.  Don't forget to use my discount code to get a further 10% off your order.

Every time I go to the shop I find more images to add to my wishlist and I bet you will too. The new shop looks as if it has loads more images than the Etsy shop had, probably not but it's so much fun looking through all the different sections on the side.

Oddball Art Stamps - Sally #IMG11/11B

My inspiration today for the closing days of  the"Messy & Sketchy" theme over at Oddball Stamps is Sally IMG#11/11B.  She is such a cutie.  I have chosen a "get well soon" card.  I got my Gelli Plate out again and chose purple, mauve and green paints to play with.  After my background was dry, I added a script stamp inked with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous Fran-tage Shabby White embossing enamel and this is the result.

I placed the background on a mauve square card base and proceeded to decorate as shown with flowers and black doily from my stash.  I hope you like my inspiration.  Sally is such a cutie.  She can be found on the Oddball website shop - here is the link https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-big-eye-bedtime-pajamas-girl-sally-image-no-11

Oddball Art Stamps April ATC Swap "Messy & Sketchy"

A messy theme to work with this month, so what better way for Gail to stop procrastinating over the Gelli Plate so in I went.  Acrylic paints and bubble wrap to start off with, but I am excited to have a go and guess what it also opened the way to me getting out my Distress Oxides and giving them a try  with watercolour paper but you will see them later, maybe next month.  Get back on the track Gail.  OK todays ATCs is what this post is all about.

My April ATCs "Messy & Sketchy"

For ATCs #1 and #3 I have used IMG#337, but with ATC#3 I have added a cloud from #269, a sun from #313/313B and #343 Stars and Bubbles.

ATC#2 is using IMG#254.

All these digis are available in the new Oddball Art Stamps website.  Here are all the links you will need for these digis.

Oddball Stamps "Messy & Sketchy" April 2018 theme

This month's theme is "Messy & Sketchy" over at Oddball Stamps.  This is an optional theme for the Blog challenge https://oddballstamps.blogspot.com.au/2018/04/oddball-art-stamps-april-2018-blog.html  It is optional but maybe if you take a look at some of the DT inspiration on the blog, you might be able to come up with something.  Hope to see you there, regardless of the theme!

My inspiration for this theme comes in the form of a birthday card.

I started with a white card and the background is one of my first attempts with the Gelli Plate.  To the background I added some ink drops in two shades, but they look the same when on the page and I added ink blotch punches on foam tape.  The image I have used is IMG#232/(B) Shannon available here https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/237082643/instant-download-kawaii-big-eye-girl?ref=shop_home_active_28 - she is great value with a speech bubble and heaps of sentiments.  Her jumper has the words I AM on it and I have added the word MESSY (if you can see it).  I coloured her with Copics, used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set and found a quote which I thought suited the Messy theme.  I highlighted some of the words with a fluoro Copic.  The sparkle chipboard word is from my vast collection of Make It Crafty chipboard, a favourite Australian company of mine, Oh and I tried my hand at a big of doodling around the frame of the messy background.

Don't forget my discount code - DTGAIL10

You can get 10% off your order with this code.

If you are new to the wonderful world of Oddball Art Stamps and like what you see, be sure to join our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/OddballArtStamps/.  We have an Oddball of a time - a monthly Blog challenge and a monthly ATC Swap which is a real ball.  See you there!

I am entering the following with this project:

31 March 2018

Oddball Art Stamps Toadstool House No. 2 IMG#432

I told you I was into these ATCs.  Well this is different, definitely tok the quote to another level. I coloured Toadstool NO. 2 first, then found the quote.

When I started to think of the background, sand came to mind, but I didn't have any, so soil was the next best substitute.  I kept thinking I need something else on it, thinking, thinking nature ... antique ... oldest ... I have it ... I had a little Dino left over from my scrapbook layout of my grand-daughter, so I coloured him and added.  Definitely a nature-filled ATC, a piece of cardboard box and soil from my garden.  Perfect!

The images I have used are

Toadstool No. 2 https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/587767322/instant-download-digital-stamp-cute?ref=shop_home_active_2
and Little Dino https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/268502290/instant-download-big-eye-kawaii-dino?ga_search_query=bed&ref=shop_items_search_2

Oddball Art Co. IMG#431

Hi Oddballs,

Have you checked out March new releases yet?  https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/OddballArtCo?section_id=18593086

My personal fave is  Cute Whimsical Crowd of Unicorns & Sprites ~ Magical Pile of Cute Image No. 431.  Lizzy has excelled herself with this cute little group of creatures.  I could not resist creating a card using the Stand out in a Crowd quote, it was in my mind from the time I saw this image.

There is a real bonus with this cutie because you get three sentiments to play with too.  I have used Make a Wish and the Happy Birthday script is from Lizzy's IMG#201 available here https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/228957731/digi-stamp-instant-download-oddball?ga_search_query=201&ref=shop_items_search_1 and it's at a great price too.

Oddball Art Stamps IMG#371 3 Whimsical Feathers

Hi Oddballs,

I decided to work with IMG#371 today, these beautiful feathers, available in the Oddball Etsy shop right here https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/502784866/instant-download-3-whimsical-feathers?ga_search_query=feathers&ref=shop_items_search_1.  There are so many projects you can use feathers on and I have a few to show you.

Feather paper clips, small and super large, or take your pick and make something in between.  The mauve feather on the far left is a bookmark and when you are using it, but want a change of colour, turn it over.

I had some small feathers left over, so what do you think I made with them - my new addiction, I haven't tired of it yet, an ATC.

Did I tell you I am really enjoying making ATCs.  I have to get in front a bit on them, so I can give extras to my swap partners.

I hope you take a look at the Oddball Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/OddballArtCo  especially this weekend as Etsy is having a sale weekend and Oddball is joining in on the fun.

Sale time! Check the Oddball Etsy shop to see what’s on sale for the World of Etsy Sales Event. Follow this link for 20% OFF the entire store! #WorldofEtsy #oddballart

Confessions of an Oddball

I have a confession to make!  I have an addiction - it's the Oddball Art Stamps Facebook Group ATC monthly swaps.  There I have confessed!  I just got so excited about this month's theme "Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny", I just kept creating and I have ended up with 6 ATCs, not the required amount of 1-3.  What is a girl to do?  Well, I have a solution - instead of my little extras, or maybe as well as, I will pick an extra one to go to my swap partner.  Here is my selection, but you will have to check the ATC Album to see which three I put in there.

Here is the list of images I have used in the six cards.  I hope you don't spot my stuff-up, well a dinosaur looks like a dragon to me, that's my story and I am sticking to it.

Images used:  #290;  #309;  #342 ($1 bin);  #224 ($1 bin);  #136;  #319;  #360;  #306

Oddball Art Co. #395 Bookworm

My project today is a bookmark made with img*395 Bookworm.  What a perfect image for a bookmark and also a subtle "Not tonight Darling" sentiment to go with it.  I put the sentiment on the top of the bookmark for obvious reasons as you can see in my second photo.  I also laminated the bookmark to protect it a bit.  I have had a laminator and sleeves for years, hope they are OK and stay gripped.  To cut down the thickness I just used a coloured piece of paper, not cardboard, to cover my Copic colouring at the back.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the grey shading around the owl is not a Copic, it is two shades of old eye shadow I have transferred from my makeup stash to my craft stash.  Just think of what I could have done with all that old makeup I threw out a couple of years back.  Not to worry, due to do it again, look out craft stash, there is more to add.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my bookmark and it inspires you to make one.  There are lots of great images to use in the Etsy shop and when you get there don't forget to use my exclusive discount code to get you another 10% of your order.
