Humour Me!

For Humour Me Wednesday this week, I decided to work with my fave, Stella and to make a card I could send to someone in these times we are living in at the moment.  Stay safe, stay home and drink!
Did I say that, sorry, didn't mean that.  And guess what, 19th April was Hanging Out Day, what a day to celebrate this, we hung out at home last week and before that, again this week, and we will continue to hang out at home for quite a while yet I suspect.  So let's celebrate Hanging Out Day with a drink or two.  Oh no, everyone reading my blog will think I have a problem:  getting back to my card, I have used Stella Tidbits - I Believe.

Here is my creation:

I hope when you are at home and maybe working on your cards, you make time to come up with some funny cards, cards you can use to maybe drop a line to someone you have not been able to have a coffee with, someone you usually dine with from time to time or someone you catch up with at the movies every month or so.  We are all missing our friends in these times, so why not drop a card in the mail to them instead, just so they know you are still thinking of them.

Don't forget to visit our Catch the Bug Challenge Blog for our challenges as well as our Facebook Group where Jodie is very generous with her freebies and special discounts.

See you soon.

Bugaboo Friday Freebie 17th April 2020

This week's Friday Freebie is BUGBEE03 bugaboo bee 03 and she is the cutest you have ever seen.

I hope you don't miss out on her, well she looks like a girl to me, so cute.

Bug Bee is really suited to some Tiddlyinks Bee You digital paper I have used as a background. I am not sure if it is still available.  I also used a SU punch for the stem of the wooden daisy with ladybug which I have had in my stash for a very, very long time lol.

I am really happy how this card came out and I thought it would be perfect to send to a friend that you haven't seen because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Bye for now, stay safe and BEE SAFE,

Gail

Catch the Bug Challenge - Stella says Sketch

This week's challenge is the sketch below

I chose to make a Christmas card - you can never be too early for that, the way time creeps up on us.
I am using Christmas Hedgie.  I actually bought this one from the old shop, so it is definitely an oldie but goodie too.  The added bonus with this digi is that you get a coloured version too.   Here is my creation.  I have used a gold base card, some glitter cardstock, vellum and a couple of punches to complete this - how easy.  My chipboard from Make It Crafty (now closed) finished the card off.
It would be very easy to use this sketch to make a bunch of Chrissie cards.

See you over at the Stella says Sketch Challenge when I may be commenting on yours.

Bye for now

I love Koko the Baby Elephant

I have recently added to my Koko digital collection from Bizzy Bec's Digital Stamps.  I think this little guy is so cute and I am going to colour more of him, hopefully very soon.

Elephants are one of my favourite animals, especially cute baby ones.  I guess I have inherited this from my mother who turned 93 last week.  She has lots of elephant ornaments.

Bugaboo Stamps Freebie Friday 27th March 2020

Have you grabbed the latest Friday Freebie over at Bugaboo Stamps.  This is a great one for Easter cards and Easter scrapbook pages.

For my inspiration I have used the Friday Freebie with a few other friends. I have also used Flower Fence Element, JJ - Garden and Tulip Bunny.  Make sure you grab JJ - Garden if you like her, as she is retiring soon and guess what, she is a real bargain because you get two different images for the price of one.

Oldie but Goodie

Another Oldie but Goodie from Bugaboo Stamps ... I played with Unicorn Moon.  This is actually a birthday card I did for my grand-daughter Isla-May.  Her party theme was Unicorns and this is her first party she has had with her little friends from pre-school.  Her Mum believes in waiting until her kiddies are five before giving them a big party, which is probably a good idea, given the cost of children's parties these days.  Every child's party seems to have to outdo the last one they attended lol.
Sorry, I am just being a grandma who by today's standards didn't give her children enough birthday parties lol.

Looking for this digi, you will find it here. Don't forget to catch us at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog or our Facebook Group.

Catch you little bugs later

SheepSki Designs April 2020 Blog Challenge

This month's Blog Challenge is "Show us your Wings".  I decided to work with "Duplicity"... I will admit it would not have been my choice when I first started digital stamping, but I have come to love steampunk and the odd and unusual.

I decided to colour Duplicity with Copics and put it in a 5" x 7" frame with a quote. I also added "Flutterby", the butterfly on the right, which is available as a freebie on our blog.  I hope you like my creation with Duplicity, it definitely deserves to be framed!

SheepSki Designs has  some great images with wings in the Etsy shop ... and don't forget this discount code for readers of my blog.
