Now let me show you what I created for the Challenge #7 Blog Hop!

For the Christmas themed card, I have chosen Hettie Hedgehog's Christmas List. I decided to go with a square card to give myself plenty of room to decorate.  I began with a white shimmer card and used some papers from the Kaisercraft Mint Wishes 6 1/2" Paper Pad to build up the layers.  I die-cut the brown doily (don't ask me the brand of die, I have so many...). I coloured Mary's image with Copics to match the colours in the paper pad, added some flowers and a flair from my stash and of course, my go-to chipboard from Make It Crafty. Christmas is coloured with a Copic and the frame is embossed with  Stampendous Fran-tage Shabby white embossing enamel and Wink of Stella to finish.  I have put an insert in the card in case my recipient would like to re-gift the card  I have used washi tape (gold with stars) so it can be easily removed and the sentiment is from good-old Google.

Well, I hope you are enjoying our Challenge #7/Blog Hop 2017 celebrating Christmas and be sure to get to "hopping" and leaving a comment on each DT's blog, as well as getting your Christmas card entered into the challenge.  Have fun!

Createful Heart Digis & Design 1900's Wedding Couple - 31st October 2017

My inspiration for Challenge #5 over at Createful Heart Digis & Design https://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/ comes in the form of 1900's Wedding Couple https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/556209247/1900s-wedding-couple-vintage-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_15. I have made an Anniversary card with a vintage theme.  I hope it comes across that way anyhow.  I have distressed the edges of my design paper, added an embossed piece of cardstock that was embossed and inked.  I have coloured the image with Copics, added a brad that has the same pattern on it as the design paper and my embellishments include a resin border from The Resin Rainbow https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/theresinrainbow?ref=l2-shopheader-name&section_id=16222515 and some flowers and pearls from my stash also.  I hope you like my inspiration for this month and don't forget our fortnightly challenges over on our blog https://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/

The Outlawz Challenges - October 2017 Progressive Challenge "The General Store"

This month's progressive challenge image is courtesy of Mary at Createful Heart Digis & Design.  The image is called "The General Store" and is available from Mary's Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/540302250/the-general-store-vintage-image-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_24.  I decided to do a general card to be used for whatever you want, for a friend, a new acquaintance or even a thank you.  The sentiment I found could cover quite a few different scenarios.  I mounted the image with blue cardstock and the card base is from a pack of pre-printed card bases  purchased from Kmart only yesterday. The pack has vintage themes, so will come in very handy for future vintage images from Createful Heart.

Createful Heart Digis & Design 30th September 2017 Inspiration

For my inspirational piece this month I have chosen "Worn Out Truck", another Createful Heart Digi, but this time this truck (or ute, as we call them in Australia) was designed by Mark Smith, Mary's talented husband. This digi can be found on the Createful Heart Digi Etsy shop here  https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/509668215/worn-out-truck-digital-image-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_6. As soon as I saw this digi, I knew it would be fantastic for any masculine card and as I was privileged enough to work with it for September, I thought it would be perfect for Father's Day.  I wanted to give it a rust effect and looked over a class I had purchased from Kit and Clowder but it was working with a copper vase, so I did some improvising of my own.  I am happy enough with my first attempt at rust, but since making the card, I have come across a few utes in paddocks on the way to my son's house, so I might even re-visit this digi after taking a few photos of the real thing.  I have used Copics, a few embellishments from my stash and the alphabet sentiment is from The Resin Rainbow, another Etsy shop, that sells resin embellishments and is situated in Australia.  This would be a great image to work with on our next Blog challenge.  Check out the Createful Heart blog here http://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/ and join in our Fortnightly Challenge there.  Be sure to read the Challenge rules http://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/p/challenge-rules.html and join us every fortnight.  There are some great prizes on offer!

Createful Heart Digis & Design "Bouquet of Red Poppies"

Today I have decided to use "Bouquet of Red Poppies digital stamp from Createful Heart Digis & Design for my first go at the Outlawz "Sketch Challenge".  I had just finished colouring it in orange shades (I have to be different from the title) and decided to go looking as to what to do with it, into the Outlawz Challenges vault I went and signed up for the Sketch Challenge.  I really love this layout, so clean and simple.  I have gone with "Make it Crafty" chipboard in the small size, as truth be known I probably did the digital stamp a little big, before I knew what I was going to create with it.  I just love flower stamps and Mary at Createful Heart Digis & Design has some beauties.  I think I might have told you that in a previous post.  You can check out the Etsy store here https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Createfulheartdigis.  I think I am going to stock up on some more of Zoe's chipboard too. http://www.makeitcrafty.com/chipboard-embellishments.html

I am entering the following challenge with this card:

Createful Heart Digis & Design "Old Fashioned Rose"

I just love flower digis to work with, they are so versatile to use on any type of card.  I have added to my flower collection with some beautiful specimens from Createful Heart Digis & Design.  I guess if you don't have much success in your actual garden at home, which is the case with me, especially when you have taken in as a boarder, a 17 year old grandson and his mischievous blue cattle dog.  I have just given up on the garden, so why not indulge with some more flower stamps from https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Createfulheartdigis?section_id=20966987. If you buy before 30th September 2017 you will be lucky enough to get a 10% discount, just read the announcement section at the top of the shop.

I am going to enter this sympathy card in The Outlawz Challenge Paper ala Mode Saturday:

CREATEFUL HEART DIGIS & DESIGN - 1ST DT POST FOR 1ST BLOG CHALLENGE; A LOT OF FIRSTS ALL ROUND

Have you heard of Createful Heart Digis & Design? Well if you haven't yet, let me tell you about them. A few months ago, Andrea from Sheepski Designs mentioned on her Facebook Group, Mary Smith who was starting an Etsy shop with her creations.  Well, Gail always checks out any digis recommended by anyone and I was immediately taken by Mary's cat digis.  I am a sucker for cat digis, stamps, paper, anything!  I bought them immediately, as we all do, and joined her Facebook group where Mary started a mini-challenge, even offering a couple of freebies to add to my collection.  I was posting my creation on her page, when I noticed her post for DT applications.  I thought OK, procrastinator Gail (big time) should give this a go, a new digi store, early days, what can I lose.  Well, the outcome - I am on the team, hooray, streamers, balloons, the works, I am so happy to be in this little family.  We are starting on the ground floor and have graduated from a mini-challenge on Facebook to our 1st Blog Challenge over at http://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/ starting on 15th September 2017.  It is an "Anything Goes" challenge and all the rules are here http://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/p/challenge-rules.html. Drop in and meet the team http://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com.au/p/meet-team.html.  I think this is the first time a photo has gone up of me, not real good at selfies but Mary wanted one, so whatever the boss wants, the boss gets!
For my first creation for Createful Heart Digis & Design and their first blog challenge, I have chosen to work with "Princess Annabelle".  Isn't she just adorable, a perfect image to use on a card for that favourite little girl in your life, a must in anyone's digital collection.  She is available in the Etsy shop here https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/532808386/princess-annabelle-image-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_7, or if you want to have a look at all Mary's designs just click on this link https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Createfulheartdigis?ref=l2-shopheader-name. While you're clicking links go to Createful Heart Digis & Design Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1802862793362586/ and join in the fun. You will find the guidelines of the group in the files section, along with a Members Birthday file, so be sure to read the guidelines and put your details in the birthday and blog folders.  When it's your birthday, Mary has a great deal if you purchase 2 digis from the shop, you can email her for another image free.  I could not pass on that deal myself; "Happy Birthday Gail", I bought you two new digis for your collection, but you will actually be getting three, great present! Well have I forgotten anything to tell you in my first post for Createful Heart, probably yes, but in my favour, this would be the longest blog post I have ever done. Blog posting still scares me a bit! Oh yeah, I forgot, what did I use in my creation?  Well I coloured in Copics, with a bit of Copic Purple Glitter Pen thrown in here and there and some Stella Clear. The background design paper came from one of those 6 x 6 pads you find in your travels, can't even remember which shop, could have even been Big W some time ago, but I thought it really suited the little princess theme.  I created the heart and sentiment in Publisher, because I always use Publisher to do my digital stamp arranging and the flowers, they are from my never-ending stash.  I hope you like Createful Heart Digis as much as I do and join our Group. Also check out our 1st Blog Challenge, it runs from 15th August until 14th September - you have plenty of time to put in an entry. For those of us who don't live in Mary's home state of Indiana, USA, she has put a clock on her blog which is very helpful to those of us in opposite ends of the world, to help you work out the time differences for the challenge dates/times.  See you again soon!  Gail xxx
