Catch the Bug Blog Challenge

This Saturday's Blog Challenge is Anything Goes.  Today I am showing you a gift card I made for my Christmas card.  It is a small kraft card with a matching envelope (not shown).  I am using Christmas Cat one of my favourite images and easy and quick to colour with whatever you want to use.  I have used everyday pencils again.  On top of the kraft card I glued a red piece of paper and then used some scraps of Christmas design paper to make the background.  It is a great idea for using up scraps.

Have you started making some Christmas cards and tags yet?

Bugaboo Stamps Saturday "Anything Goes" Challenge

We could not change the Saturday "Anything Goes" Challenge with our new format, so here is my inspiration.  The Saturday Challenge is still over at Catch the Bug Blog Challenge.  You may notice a bit of a spruce up to our banner and new tabs to click onto to get to the challenges and the Friday Freebie posts.  I have decided to use "Anything Goes" to make another Christmas card.  You can never have too many Christmas cards on hand.  I am using AKV Reindeer - Skate and here it is:

I try (and I emphasise the word TRY) to keep a stash of odd pieces of Christmas paper separate to my other pieces and the background over the white glitter square is a combination of these.  The image is matted with lime green paper and the glitter baubles from my stash.  I also have pre-made Christmas sentiments punched out as well in my Christmas stash.  I just keep them in a round Roses Chocolate tin and if it gets too full I will make a rush of cards lol.

I hope you like Bugaboo Stamps new banner for challenges and make sure you stop by the Blog soon.

See you soon,

Gail

My first slimline card

Hey Bugaboo fans, I have made my first slimline card for the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog, This Saturday our theme is "Down on the Farm".  This Saturday challenge runs for one week.

For my inspiration I have used quite a few images from the shop.

The main one I have used is the barn set which you can find on the Freebies and Sales tab.  A Special thank to our Facebook Fan Judee Gal for these!

She thought they'd be a nice addition to our farm bobblehead images!

I have used one of the barns and the coloured version of the hay bale.

I enjoyed making this slimline card, they are a great size to design a scene.

See you soon,

Gail xx

I have used "Rottweiler Puppy - Bath",

I hope to see your creation in our "Anything Goes" challenge.  Maybe I will commenting on yours!

Bugaboo Stamps is 10 years old!

This month we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Bugaboo Stamps and hasn't Jodie produced some fantastic digital stamps for us over the years.  Thank you Jodie for the great images you have given us over the years.  You would have to be the most generous supplier of digital images in the world - Friday Freebies, generous discounts of up to 50-60%.  You are a gem and I don't know how you do it with all the other obstacles in life you have.  Thank you so much.

Our theme for this year's birthday celebrations is "Down on the Farm" and we want to see Bugaboo critters in your projects.

Day 1 of the Birthday Bash is a Theme Challenge.

Here is my inspiration for the Theme Challenge.  I have used Farm Critter Stack  for this birthday card, the image is a perfect combination of Jodie's farm critters.

I hope you enjoy the challenges over at Catch the Bug Blog Challenges to celebrate our 10th Birthday Bash.

Don't forget the Bugaboo Stamps Anything Goes Challenge over at Catch the Blog Challenge Blog.  The Anything Goes challenge is always the first Saturday of the month, so just look for Saturday weekly challenge down the left hand side bar and click.  This shows you weekly challenges that always start on a Saturday.  You might even be interested in other Saturday challenges in the month.  The first is Anything Goes, the second Saturday is usually a theme, the third is usually Bingo, the fourth Saturday is usually a colour challenge or the fifth a recipe challenge.  Lots of different types of challenges and that only covers one day of the week.  Check all the days out now!

I know we are coming up to Christmas, but I could not resist making this birthday card.  Love this image.  Here is the link for Make It Snappy Friends.  I think this is a very versatile stamp, so why not grab it now.

See you next time,

Gail

Catch the Bug Challenge - Saturday Bingo 19th October 2019

OK I think I told you I am not as advanced as my American friends in celebrating Halloween.  However, I came up with an idea for a Mum accompanying her children on Trick or Treat, or even a bag to accompany you to an October party or celebration.

Da da, The Ruby Treat Bag.

Perfect for Australians, I think we are known to be pretty good drinkers!  This bag will hold three wine bottles, but to be on the safe side I would only accommodate two, better to only have two and not see the bag break!!

I have used the bottom line of Bingo this week - 3 layers, orange and ribbon.

The images I have worked with are:

Ruby Calendar October

Pumpkin

Halloween Window Cat

Bugaboo Stamps Guest DT - October 2019

I am honoured to be a guest DT for Bugaboo Stamps, as a result of my win in their Christmas in July challenge.

The first inspiration I have done is a card for Anything Goes over at Catch the Blog Challenges.

I have worked with Frame It - For You Flower.  What a lovely stamp, and so versatile, could be for any occasion.  Here is my card:

I recently bought this digi when it came out.  Mind you, when I buy,  I really have to scrutinise my stash of Bugaboo.  I have been buying Jodie's digis probably from the time I first got into digis from the old shop, and her new, so I have to regularly check if I have a new one that pops up from the old shop.

 Here is my card:

My card base is pale pink, with designer paper.  I coloured the image with copics and added three resin glitter butterflies purchased from a small Australian business Corbett Creations Wood Veneers.

I have also used a chipboard word from Make It Crafty, another favourite business of mine.
