Morgans ArtWorld October Blog Challenge #10

 This month's blog challenge is of course "Anything Goes".  This time I am working with the gorgeous digital stamp "Wren".  I just loved the serenity of this image and wanted to find a special quote that fitted it.  I layered the cream square card with designer paper, card and netting under my image and quote before adding the final touch of the chipboard Sing (which has been in my stash for a while just waiting for the right project).  I used Prismacolor pencils to colour this image.

This is my first inspiration as a Creative Team member of Morgan's Artworld and what a gorgeous stamp to start my journey with a fantastic team - 1920's Lady 3 Greyscale.  

This image is perfect for my mum's birthday.

I have used a square pearl white card base, a square of Kaisercraft Wandering Ivy patterned paper, some punches for sentiments, a flower and sequins from my huge stash.

Bizzy Bec's March 2021 challenge

Hello fellow crafters,

 Got some great news to share with you.  I am now a Design Team Member for Bizzy Bec's Online Store, an Aussie retailer I have dealt with over many years of papercrafting.  Today I want to show you some inspiration for our Monthly Blog Challenge, always "Anything Goes".

I have had a passion for digital stamps for a long time now, so I thought I would start off with this Bizzy Bec's digital stamp from my stash and guess what!.  It is still available in the older images section of digital stamps.  Her name is Cogwheel Wendy and she is part of the Pin Up Girls collection and they are all fun.  

Bizzy Bec's has a great range of digital stamps and papers and they are so reasonable in price.  Cogwheel Wendy is only $2AUD, what a bargain.

I have used cream cardstock for the card base and made up a digital background of some of my many files.  Cogwheel Wendy has been centred on the paper with foam tape and I created the sentiments on the page before I printed the background.

I decided to add another index card to my collection using Book of Little Monsters and Angelica.  I decided to use multiple images when I found the quote.

I also acknowledge that I added a pre-coloured image from The Paper Shelter "Spooky" as a ghost from the quote.

SheepSki Designs May Blog Challenge

The theme this month over at the SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge is "For the Girlz".  The first thing that came to mind was WINE and Andrea's new image "Wine Time" was perfect for what I had in mind.  I wanted a SheepSki female in the scene too, so I looked through my SheepSki folder and chose "Hope".  Hope has two images, I decided to use the Chemistry one and started to search for quotes, and this is what I came up with.

Bugaboo Stamps "Oldie But a Goodie"

Well I decided to go through my many images from Bugaboo that I have bought over the years, even before Jodie reworked her online shop, I was hooked.  I thought which image did I buy, thinking I would use that one a lot, but of course, after I buy, that idea goes to the back of my mind and another image and idea takes over. I bet you can relate to that too!  I looked at the shop, looked at the sections and chose Word Search.  I am sure I have one of these!  Back to my Bugaboo file on my computer ... well what do you know, I have all 3 in the shop ... not surprised.

SheepSki Designs - January 2020 Blog Challenge

The first theme for 2020 is "Square Cards" and there are so many beautiful images that fit the bill at SheepSki Designs.  I have used Ball Gown for my square Birthday card, coloured with pencils and of course chipboard from Make It Crafty.  I am so sad Zoe is closing her business, I have been buying from her a long time and will miss her. Now back to my card.  I have raised the image with double-sided foam tape.  I have also decorated my card with resin hearts and leaves and a flower from my stash.  The Make a Wish piece of chipboard is from Scrapmatts.  Of course, I have been looking at quotes and found this one, perfect for a teenage girl's birthday card.

SheepSki Designs September 2019 Blog Challenge

Our theme for the September Blog Challenge #30 is Die Cuts/Punches.  This gave me an opportunity to try out my new purchase, a City Scapes punch from Creative Memories.  I punched it out then covered with black gesso and then applied different shades of Prima Art Alchemy wax.  I chose a background clip art from Google for the park scene and before printing put some sentiments on it.  I used a couple of bits of washi tape (the birds on a wire and the grass with flowers bottom right hand corner) and a couple of little punches (the heart and the bunny).

There we have it, a scene for the gorgeous image "Shopping in Yorkshire".  I coloured her with Copics and added a small pearl to the clasp on her handbag.

I have cut the park scene to layer the city scape punch behind, the punches and image have also been lifted with foam tape.

This month's progressive challenge image is from All Dressed Up and is called "Stars and Back".

Here is my birthday card.  I have used a digital sky paper background for the image, matted with silver.  The image has been attached with foam tape to give it dimension.  I recently purchased some white resin stars from Corbett Creations Wood Veneers, an Aussie business of course.  I thought this card would look perfect with some of these stars added.

Some Odd Girl - 12 days of Colouring

Well it's Day 8 of the Some Odd Girl 12 Days of Colouring challenge on the Facebook Group and we have all been colouring like mad women possessed.  In fact, between family life and craft life, I have not had enough time to even show you some of my colouring on the blog.

So today I thought I would share Day 8.  I have used Swoon Dakota, coloured with Copics and fussy cut, then placed on a stencilled background with foam dots.  I stamped the sentiment straight onto the stencilled mat.

If you are not a member of the Some Odd Girl Facebook Group, you should check it out.  Some Odd Girl puts on these fun challenges and you don;t even have to complete a project in the one day.  You only have to show a WIP project with progress made each day and then start a new one.

Some Odd Girl is getting together an ATC swap which I am looking forward to as well, haven't done many of them this year and it could be an ongoing thing, with only one ATC required each swap - EASY!

SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge - "Wings" April 2019

This month's SheepSki Blog Challenge theme is "Wings".  When Andrea first put "Griff" into the shop, I thought, no I could never attempt that.  Well, when this theme came along, I thought face your demons Gail, give it a go.

This is the result - a blank masculine card.  I feel this image is best suited for a masculine card and I will be able to use this as a birthday card, an inspiration card or whatever your heart desires.

I hope you enter our challenge this month.

Clean and Simple

AAA Cards CAS Challenge has a Weekend Workout on at the moment and the challenge was to create a card using only a sentiment.

This was the criteria:

Can you create a CAS card using just a sentiment? 

It can be stamped, stencilled, handwritten, computer generated or die cut, but there must be nothing else on your card. Background patterns or papers allowed, but no images. Remember to stay CAS!

This is a just for fun event.

I splattered some watered down paint onto the card base with smothering completely.  Happy Birthday is a SU die and I cut it twice, and layered one on top of the other, with the top one slightly to the right, exposing the bottom layer.
