SheepSki Designs March Blog Challenge

 Hi to all my followers,

This month I am promoting SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge for March.  The optional twist is :Embellish It.  I got so excited to work with Grace that I forgot the theme was embellishing. You don't just one image with this, you get 2 jpg and 2 png.  I have used Grace with her utterly DECO background.  I coloured her with pencils, which has been my go to for a while now.  Some of the pencils I used were metallic.   I wanted a break from Copics and with everything going on in my life at the moment, it's what I cope the best with.

SheepSki Designs October Blog Challenge

 Here is my inspiration for the SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge for October.  The optional theme is Autumn Things.  In Australia we have had our Autumn and it is Spring here, so I had to go to another part of the world when I was thinking about this theme.  This card is a combination of Fall and Halloween, could not make up my mind so it is a representation of both.

I have used Bit Batty and Vlad & Mia in this scene.

Animal Magic

 April's SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge has an optional theme "Animal Magic".  For the animal part of my card I have used Lil Chicks with the addition of the male gnome from Giant Mushroom by doing some creative cropping.  I was so pleased with the merge I decided to make an anniversary card and looked for an appropriate quote on Google.  Sometimes it takes a little searching, but I always seem to find one to suit my scene.  The designer paper background is a half sheet of Kaisercraft 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Wandering Ivy.

The April Blog Challenge No. 49 goes for the whole month, so plenty of time to get your creation in.

I thought I would show you some last minute Christmas cards I made - you know for those friends you missed in your address book.  I loved this digi of Andrea's but I had already sent out my Christmas cards.  Then I thought I would whip up a few using this cutie and hopefully I would use them in 2020, and I did, the three of them.

Sheepski Designs December 2020 Blog Challenge

 Our optional twist for December 2020 over on the Blog Challenge is "Feature a Creature".  I don't class Andrea's cat  Mindy as a creature but it is a beautiful pet, as is my Emmie.  I wanted to make a Christmas card so here is my inspiration.

With the look on Mindy's face I just had to add that sentiment!

SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge No. 42

Our theme for September is Use Layers.  I have chosen to have a play with a gorgeous silhouette "Mini Orchid Silhouette Image No. 224.

The square card base is pearl white and I printed the mini orchid on some newsprint digital paper.  The design papers I used are from a 6" x 6" Authentique paper pack called Uncommon (from my large stash - definitely not a new purchase, but I am very happy I am using my stash).  I thought this range suited what I had in mind for the orchid and newsprint.  The sentiment is chipboard from Scrapmatts and I coloured it with a black marker.

SheepSki Designs August Blog Challenge

The theme for August is "No Rules" anything you want.  Well for my inspiration I made a scene to suit "Walkies" another great gnome image from SheepSki Designs.  I have also used "Flutterby" which is available in the Freebies tab on the Blog.

To make the scene I used some digital paper for the background, the grass and flowers another digital stamp, a fence die and leaves ribbon.

Your Favourite Colour/s

The theme SheepSki Designs is using for the  June Blog Challenge is "Your Favourite Colour/s".  If you are a follower of my blog, you will see that purple often features in my creations.

For my inspiration I have used Wild Rose Heart - image no. 206. I used some digital paper in my stash as the background and placed the Wild Rose Heart on it with foam tape.  I intend to send this card to a relative.  My husband's cousin passed just when the pandemic's restrictions came into place and we could not attend the funeral.  I have left it a while to think of the perfect image for a "Thinking of You" card to send to his wife and family, and I think this is the one.

SheepSki Designs April 2020 Blog Challenge

This month's Blog Challenge is "Show us your Wings".  I decided to work with "Duplicity"... I will admit it would not have been my choice when I first started digital stamping, but I have come to love steampunk and the odd and unusual.

I decided to colour Duplicity with Copics and put it in a 5" x 7" frame with a quote. I also added "Flutterby", the butterfly on the right, which is available as a freebie on our blog.  I hope you like my creation with Duplicity, it definitely deserves to be framed!

SheepSki Designs March Blog Challenge #36

This month's SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge has the theme "Die Cuts and/or Punches".

It didn't matter what the theme was for March, I was going to use one of Andrea's Gnome images.  I am loving every gnome image added to the shop and I hope Andrea has more to entice us with.

When I saw the theme, I thought ok, it's about time I put some of many Stampin' Up items to use. I have used the Daisy Lane set and both sizes of Daisy punches.  I punched the stamped daisies on coloured cardstock and punched them out.  I used a side stepper template to create the card base.
