Beccy's Place February Blog Challenge

This month's challenge is challenging me to add washi tape to my creation.  I could not go past those beautiful silhouettes "Cat Tails" when I spent my prize from last month.  I love cats but the silhouettes have tails.  My cat Emmie doesn't have a tail.  She was a rescue kitten and they told me she had manx in her and she only has a little stumpy tail.  It looks like a rabbit's tail when she runs.  Anyhow enough of Emmie, here is my February Blog Challenge creation.

I have made an insert inside the card to make the front.  I hope you can see my paw washi tape.

It would not be a Month of Holiday Cards without Merle making an appearance at Beccy's Place Month of Cards.

Beccy's Place March 2021 Blog Challenge

I love Gerberas - don't seem to have much luck growing them as well as Beccy's images, but love colouring them.

I am still practising with my basic pencils, Staedtler, Faber-Castell and Crayola.  I just have them all together and grab whatever colours I think will suit.

I am not sure what this fold of card is actually called.  It is probably too simple for Beccy to have in her tutorials of card folds, but I would call it concertina.  Hang on, I will get you the link for her card fold tutorials and see if my design is there.  Here is the link Beccy's Place: A - Z of Folded Cards and after looking at her Concertina Fold, I stand to be corrected.  My fold is called the very, very simple concertina fold.

Anyhow I could not decide what sentiments I would use from the set, so I put a few on.  This stamp set is so versatile you could make an any occasion card.

If you like gerberas as much as me, you had better grab this set fast, as it's on special for a limited time and then I think it is going to be retired.  While you are in the shop, check out all the sale items.

I hope you like my very, very simple Concertina card.

See you next time,

Gail

Beccy's Place February 2021 Blog Challenge

This is my entry in Beccy's Place February Blog Challenge using the Macaroons freebie.

Beccy's Place is a great online shop that stocks clear stamps, dies and digital stamps and she is a fellow-Aussie.  Check the shop out here.  Her blog is a wealth of information including freebies, card tutorials, videos and much more.  I haven't found a better blog that can help you as much as Beccy's.  Check the blog out now, you won't be disappointed and you will find yourself going back to it time and again.

Beccy's Place "Love Bear"

Using my pencils again and I am quite happy with the outcome of "Love Bear". This image was a freebie on Beccy's blog.  A card perfect for the birth of a baby girl and I just know one that is coming up in March.

Growing in Unity 2020 - Day 3

Day 3 - now what do I have to show you today.  I say this because I might have gone a bit berserk with my Unity creations and I want to show them all to you;  even though I might have done too many.  I still have two days to cramp them in.

I love my craft and each year I get into it more and more.  It is a great stress relief for me.  I don't much like the blogging but I guess that comes with the territory.  I have had this blog for quite a while now, only setting it up when I was asked to go on my first Design Team.  I taught myself everything I know about blogs which is not much and very recently a lovely Facebook friend who I have been on a design team with, pointed out to me that I had not activated the Followers button and I should have one to showcase my work.  She gave me a crash course on where to find it, don't ask me know how I did it now, but I have one.  If you like my work I would love you to click on it. I might get into double digits before the end of my GIU week if I am lucky!

Anyhow waffling on again.

Today's creation is a QUATRO FOLD CARD.  I found this tutorial over at  Beccy's Place - the blog.  Beccy has an A-Z tutorial list of card folds, and guess what, she is an Aussie too, so I have to give her tutorials a plug.  Here is the link to all the tutorials.

I have some photos of the different steps, but probably not as organised as Beccy's tutorial.

Now the final step is folding the card using the closing a box with 4 flaps method.  You know that one, that one that stumps me every time!  Even when I had the embellishments on the parts I wanted to show, I still had to think.  But anyhow I love the card and I just know the friend who will be receiving it later in the year for her birthday.  She has been a great buddy of mine for a long time now, older than me and she will love the old gals!

Of course I used my stash again, the designer paper pad came from a $2 shop and the embellishments were in there too.

Unity stamp sets used are Tierra Jackson's Demand a Re-Count and Only Old Once.

I love the Quatro Fold card because I did not have  to procrastinate over which sentiment to use, I USED THE LOT because I could.

See you tomorrow

Gail

Beccy's Place July Challenge

Thank you Beccy for this beautiful image.  I love flannel flowers and wattle, what a beautiful combination.  Unfortunately I have tried growing flannel flowers without success, but now I have this image from Beccy so all is not lost.

I chose to use this image on a sympathy card for a local family whom we have known since our daughters were at primary school.  The girls are now women.  Her Mum has lost her battle with cancer and we will be attending a celebration of her life this week.

Beccy's Place Blog Challenge "Little Liz"

I have been buying Beccy's images for ages, but never thought of entering her challenges, so I decided to give it a go.  Thank you Beccy for the free image "Little Liz".  I decided to make a birthday tag for a friend.

I haven't used a brad for ages so I did and the ribbon is actually a piece of ribbon that you get on new clothes, you know the ones we usually cut off and throw, not me, they go in my stash lol.

The Outlawz Progressive Challenge February 2018

This month's progressive image is a lovely digi "Wild Rose" from one of my favourite digital artists, Beccy's Place, an Aussie company too, which makes it even better.  This month I have attempted colouring with Prismacolors on Kraft, still learning.
