Bugaboo Stamps Saturday "Anything Goes" Challenge

We could not change the Saturday "Anything Goes" Challenge with our new format, so here is my inspiration.  The Saturday Challenge is still over at Catch the Bug Blog Challenge.  You may notice a bit of a spruce up to our banner and new tabs to click onto to get to the challenges and the Friday Freebie posts.  I have decided to use "Anything Goes" to make another Christmas card.  You can never have too many Christmas cards on hand.  I am using AKV Reindeer - Skate and here it is:

I try (and I emphasise the word TRY) to keep a stash of odd pieces of Christmas paper separate to my other pieces and the background over the white glitter square is a combination of these.  The image is matted with lime green paper and the glitter baubles from my stash.  I also have pre-made Christmas sentiments punched out as well in my Christmas stash.  I just keep them in a round Roses Chocolate tin and if it gets too full I will make a rush of cards lol.

I hope you like Bugaboo Stamps new banner for challenges and make sure you stop by the Blog soon.

See you soon,

Gail

I used one of my We Are Memory Keepers Mini punches for the doily.  Note to self, I need to use them more often.  The sentiment is Scrapmatts chipboard coloured with a Copic and Wink of Stella Clear.\

My first slimline card

Hey Bugaboo fans, I have made my first slimline card for the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog, This Saturday our theme is "Down on the Farm".  This Saturday challenge runs for one week.

For my inspiration I have used quite a few images from the shop.

The main one I have used is the barn set which you can find on the Freebies and Sales tab.  A Special thank to our Facebook Fan Judee Gal for these!

She thought they'd be a nice addition to our farm bobblehead images!

I have used one of the barns and the coloured version of the hay bale.

I enjoyed making this slimline card, they are a great size to design a scene.

See you soon,

Gail xx

World Elephant Day

In honour of World Elephant Day, 12th September, I decided to make an elephant card for Bugaboo Stamps "Humour Me Wednesday" over at Catch the Bug Blog Challenges.  I found it hard to find a really funny quote, but I thought this one was very appropriate for Jodie's image Critter Balloons - Elephant

See you again soon,
Gail

So excited about Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps

I am so excited about our 2020 Christmas in July, I forgot which day I made this card for.  Not sure it is funny because I made the sentiment myself, but I have decided to use it for Make Me Laugh or as we usually call it - Humour Me Wednesday.

I used -

Scene it - Santa and Friends

Santa is talking to Mrs Clause on the two-way, telling her he is on his way to deliver the presents to all the good children.

See you tomorrow for another Christmas in July day.

Tuesday is Bingo Challenge and a Flash Freebie

It's Christmas in July Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps and we have a Bingo Challenge as well as a flash freebie.

I have used the flash freebie to create some inspiration for the Bingo Challenge. I used the line with brads or pearls, sentiment and die cut.

Here is my inspiration:

See you tomorrow at the Christmas in July celebrations.

Humour Me!

For Humour Me Wednesday this week, I decided to work with my fave, Stella and to make a card I could send to someone in these times we are living in at the moment.  Stay safe, stay home and drink!
Did I say that, sorry, didn't mean that.  And guess what, 19th April was Hanging Out Day, what a day to celebrate this, we hung out at home last week and before that, again this week, and we will continue to hang out at home for quite a while yet I suspect.  So let's celebrate Hanging Out Day with a drink or two.  Oh no, everyone reading my blog will think I have a problem:  getting back to my card, I have used Stella Tidbits - I Believe.

Here is my creation:

I hope when you are at home and maybe working on your cards, you make time to come up with some funny cards, cards you can use to maybe drop a line to someone you have not been able to have a coffee with, someone you usually dine with from time to time or someone you catch up with at the movies every month or so.  We are all missing our friends in these times, so why not drop a card in the mail to them instead, just so they know you are still thinking of them.

Don't forget to visit our Catch the Bug Challenge Blog for our challenges as well as our Facebook Group where Jodie is very generous with her freebies and special discounts.

See you soon.

Catch the Bug Challenge - Stella says Sketch

This week's challenge is the sketch below

I chose to make a Christmas card - you can never be too early for that, the way time creeps up on us.
I am using Christmas Hedgie.  I actually bought this one from the old shop, so it is definitely an oldie but goodie too.  The added bonus with this digi is that you get a coloured version too.   Here is my creation.  I have used a gold base card, some glitter cardstock, vellum and a couple of punches to complete this - how easy.  My chipboard from Make It Crafty (now closed) finished the card off.
It would be very easy to use this sketch to make a bunch of Chrissie cards.

See you over at the Stella says Sketch Challenge when I may be commenting on yours.

Bye for now

Bugaboo Stamps - Anything but a Card Monday Inspiration

Hey there,

When I saw this image appear in the shop, "Stella Me and My Cat Talk" I just knew I had to add it to my personal ATC Collection.  In case you are new to my blog, I must tell you I love cat images and seeing I talk to my cat Emmie about EVERYTHING, I thought the caption on this image was purr-fect.

This is Emmie when she was little, sitting on a lounge chair used for my bear collection.

And here is my ATC

I love Stella too:  purr-fect combination of two things I love!

I hope you catch our Anything But a Card posts for inspiration over at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog every Monday. and if you love this image as much as I do, here it is.

Also remember to show us your Anything but a Card projects on our Bugaboo Stamps Fan Group.  Hope to see you there, if you aren't a member, please join us now.

See you soon,

Gail xx

Bugaboo Stamps - Monday 2nd March 2020

Can you guess what today's inspiration over at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog?

Anything But a Card!

My inspiration for today is a Bookmark.  I have used Floral Set 2, and with this set you also get the same image in a circle shape. Hope you like it, I am practising with pencils at the moment and I coloured this with Crayola Signature Blend & Shade Coloured Pencils and when it was finished I sprayed it with J. Burrows Workable Fixative Spray to protect the pencil work.

I hope I have given you some inspiration to use your Bugaboo stamps for Anything but a card lol.
See you over at Anything but a Card inspiration again soon.

Stella Says Sketch Challenge 803

I am happy to tell you that this is my first project as a DT member for Bugaboo Stamps.  After doing 4 months as a Guest Designer, I was asked if I would like to stay on and I jumped at the chance.  Thank you to Jodie, Tammy and the team for the opportunity to show off Bugaboo Stamps.

Here is my project for the Sketch Challenge.  I have used the Har Repotter brave one image for this birthday card and I know exactly who I am giving it to - my gorgeous grand-daughter, Charlotte.

I hope to see your entries in the Sketch Challenge.  They are the easiest to do, someone else has done most of the thinking for you lol.

Bye for now
