Gerda Steiner Designs - May 2017 Progressive challenge

This months Progressive Challenge is using Flowers for You by Gerda Steiner Designs.  It is such a cute digital stamp, I just love that huge bouquet.  A perfect image for Mother's Day which we have just celebrated, or a birthday card, thank you and just about any occasion.  Be sure to check out Gerda's website, https://www.gsd-stamps.com/collections/all#shop-10268.  I love all her images and have quite a collection myself.

Scrapper's Delights Thursday Inspiration 18th May 2017

For my inspiration project this month, I have used Sunflower 2 Digi stamp available here
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_161&products_id=740
As we have just had Mother's Day I chose to make this card, but the image is perfect to act as a frame for a clean and simple birthday card or any sort of card that just needs a simple verse or message in the centre of the frame of flowers.  I didn't feel I had to add any other embellishments to take away from the beauty of this stamp.

I am entering the following challenges with this card:

Aussie Digital Artists Challenge No. 4 - May 2017

I could not resist entering another of Sasayaki Glitter's images in this challenge.  I found the paper in my stash (of course) along with a pregnancy brad and decided to lift it up a bit by attaching to a button.  I thought the paper I used was perfect for a Pregnancy Congratulations card as it was colour appropriate for someone who chooses not to know whether the baby is a girl or boy, but then again, going by today's standards, maybe she does know and just doesn't want to tell us!  What do you think?  Be sure to check out Naz's Etsy shop, Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps.  She has some great images and there are so many to choose from.  I am heading over there again before Mother's Day, as she has a great special for us mums I just can't resist.  Check out https://www.facebook.com/Sasayaki-Glitter-Digital-Stamps-1683362591888560/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf for details.

Aussie Digital Artists Challenge 4 - May 2017

For this month's challenge over at Aussie Digital Artists, I have used a Sasayaki Glitter image called "Raining Heart".  I have made a birthday card for a friend's grand-daughter, of course using one of my favourite colours Purple.

Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday 4th May 2017

This month's Progressive Challenge freebie image at Scrapper's Delights is "Anna Mae 4" and what a cutie she is.  Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for the details https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/.  I went with the "sweet theme" for this card and used a flair from my stash.  I used Copics for colouring and printed Anna Mae twice - once with an oval shape and then again without and used foam tape to give her that little lift.  A perfect birthday card for that sweet little girl in your life.  I hope you enjoy creating with Anna Mae 4 in May just as much as I did.

Imagine that Digistamp April 2017 link-up

I won this digi "Retro Waitress" on a recent Imagine that Digistamp Facebook competition. As soon as I saw it, I was taken back to the days of watching Richie Cunningham and The Fonz in Happy Days. What a classic TV show! I could not resist using some of the lyrics to the theme song on this card, as well as sourcing a free jukebox clip art on Google.  After coming up with my ideas for this card, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Erin Moran, RIP Joanie Cunningham.  I hope you like my card and head over to http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html to see the great digi sets, Kristy from Imagine that Digistamp has to offer.  Kristy's digi sets have so much to offer - sentiments, coloured versions of the stamp and some even come with papers, great value for your small outlay.  You will definitely find something there you can't resist - I did!  So glad I found Imagine that Digistamp!

April Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

This month's Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz showcases the work of Mary Smith from Createful Heart and what a lovely image is Hummingbird n Morning Glory Flowers.

I have chosen to make a Mother's Day card because here in Australia we celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, I think a little different to some countries.  I have chose a CAS layout to showcase Mary's beautiful image.  Thank you for looking at my card.

Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge April 2017

This month's image from Gerda is called Pen Pal Bear.  What a great image to use on a little note card.  You know those cards you send with a note on the side.  Well I decided to add some lines in the middle of the card.  Nothing like starting a little note on the left hand side when you write on a card and find your message is so crooked and you have run out of room.  This card is perfect for catching up with friends.  Thank you Gerda for yet another cute image for our Progressive Challenge. For those who haven't come across Gerda's website check this out, images full of cuteness I say. https://gsd-stamps.com/

SCRAPPER'S DELIGHTS THURSDAY INSPIRATION 20th April 2017

Steampunk, something I am not real confident with, maybe it's my age group, but I ventured out of my comfort zone and chose Chastity Steampunk 2 for this card http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_206&products_id=884

As a matter of fact, Janice has some great images in the Victorian and Steam Punk section of her store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89_206

Why not check them out now - they can be mixed and matched to create something spectacular.  I have coloured Chastity with Copics and used some pipe and cog dies to get into the theme.  I hope my card inspires you to take a look in the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/

Thank you for joining me today and I will see you at our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/ with your creations.  We may be on the DT Team but your work inspires us too! Have a great day creating!

SCRAPPER'S DELIGHTS THRIFTY THURSDAY AND APRIL 2017 FREEBIE CHALLENGE

Rainy Days Digi 1 - what a great freebie especially with the weather we are having in New South Wales, Australia.  Boy, has it been wet and sad for some families too, lives have been lost in some very bad conditions, and young lives too, families torn apart with grief.  But onto a happier note, this digi is available here https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/.  Why not join our group and get into the swing of our progressive challenge each month, it is a lot of fun and there are always a great range of bargains to be had at the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/.

Our optional twist for this month was to NOT make a square or rectangle card.  Well I decided to get out one of my WeRMemoryKeepers Lucky 8 punches.  Tools certainly take up a great deal of your stash, just when you think you might be able to whittle away at it, you remember the many tools you have bought over the years,  I cut the doily in half and used that as my base card.  I could not decide between the two sentiments so I used both.  The yellow doily you see peeking out of the bottom of the flowers is supposed to be an umbrella but I think I went overboard with the floral arrangement and the umbrella handle is a toothpick covered with thin wire to make the hook. When I never know what one of my cards can be used for, I always call them inspirational! lol

I hope I have inspired you to go grab Rainy Days Digi 1 and create something beautiful.

Scrapper's Delights Thursday Inspiration 30th March 2017

An extra Thursday in March means another day to show you some inspiration from the Scrapper's Delights Design Team.  I have chosen Genie 4, and coloured her in Prismacolors.  I just love all the genies in the store.  Why not check them out now http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89_193&zenid=3cb33a22bf4d0c2b1e03016429930938

Imagine That Digistamp March 2017

This month I have used "Frogs in Love" just for a general card to show your love for someone.  This month I have used my prismacolor pencils instead of Copics - needless to say I am still learning how to use them!  Thank you Imagine That Digistamp for this digi set.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #2

For this month's challenge, I have decided to showcase a digital stamp from Ericraft, this month's challenge sponsor.  This stamp is called "Merry Cocky".  I love using Aussie stamps as our Christmas is in the summer season - no snow for us Aussies!  I have also used some chipboard from Scrapmatts, another Australian company.  The holly sprig I coloured with Copics but the bauble was already in that shade.

From the Heart Stamps - Free Stamp of the Month March 2017

This month's free stamp is Lucky Lil Birdie.  She is so cute and great for St Patrick's Day cards (if you celebrate the day) or for any card where you want to wish the recipient Good Luck.  Thank you From the Heart Stamps,  for another cutie freebie!

The Outlawz March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month we have a beautiful image "Spring Window" from Beccy's Place. From a fellow Australian I thank you Beccy for this digi.  When I saw the window, I thought straightaway I must use bricks as a background and I could not resist adding a few cats, my favourite pet.  Thank you for looking at my card and don't forget to check out Beccy's Place.  She has some lovely digital stamps and lots of technique tutorials on her website.

Gerda Steiner Designs - March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month's challenge is using Bee Strong image kindly provided by Gerda.  This is another attempt with the Prismacolor pencils, not sure how I am going, maybe it will be back to the Copics next month.

Stamps by Aurora Wings Challenge #45 Sprite Delight IV - March 2017

Thank you Mitzi for this beautiful little Pansy Sprite. This is my first attempt at colouring some digital stamps with Prismacolor pencils.  I think I will need more practice.

Scrapper's Delights Inspirations 16th March 2017

For my inspirational card for this fortnight's Inspiration Thursday, I have used Fantasy Mushrooms 1  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_161&products_id=742 as the background and the free image Easter Bunny in the foreground mounted with foam tape. As I forgot on my progressive challenge piece for March, I have used the DT Optional Twist Theme recipe of purple, 3 flowers and ribbon. Don't you just love those mushrooms.  There are many digis in the store that would look great with them.  Why not go over to the store now and check them out http://scrappersdelights.com/store/

Thank you for checking out my blog and I hope you and your family has a Happy Easter when it comes around!
