Imagine that Digistamp April 2017 link-up

I won this digi "Retro Waitress" on a recent Imagine that Digistamp Facebook competition. As soon as I saw it, I was taken back to the days of watching Richie Cunningham and The Fonz in Happy Days. What a classic TV show! April Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

This month's Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz showcases the work of Mary Smith from Createful Heart and what a lovely image is Hummingbird n Morning Glory Flowers.

I have chosen to make a Mother's Day card because here in Australia we celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, I think a little different to some countries.  I have chose a CAS layout to showcase Mary's beautiful image.  Thank you for looking at my card.

Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge April 2017

This month's image from Gerda is called Pen Pal Bear.  What a great image to use on a little note card.  You know those cards you send with a note on the side.  Well I decided to add some lines in the middle of the card.  Nothing like starting a little note on the left hand side when you write on a card and find your message is so crooked and you have run out of room.  This card is perfect for catching up with friends.  Thank you Gerda for yet another cute image for our Progressive Challenge. SCRAPPER'S DELIGHTS THRIFTY THURSDAY AND APRIL 2017 FREEBIE CHALLENGE

Rainy Days Digi 1 - what a great freebie especially with the weather we are having in New South Wales, Australia.  Boy, has it been wet and sad for some families too, lives have been lost in some very bad conditions, and young lives too, families torn apart with grief.  But onto a happier note, this digi is available here https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/.  Why not join our group and get into the swing of our progressive challenge each month, it is a lot of fun and there are always a great range of bargains to be had at the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/.

Our optional twist for this month was to NOT make a square or rectangle card.  Well I decided to get out one of my WeRMemoryKeepers Lucky 8 punches.  Tools certainly take up a great deal of your stash, just when you think you might be able to whittle away at it, you remember the many tools you have bought over the years,  I cut the doily in half and used that as my base card.  I could not decide between the two sentiments so I used both.  The yellow doily you see peeking out of the bottom of the flowers is supposed to be an umbrella but I think I went overboard with the floral arrangement and the umbrella handle is a toothpick covered with thin wire to make the hook. When I never know what one of my cards can be used for, I always call them inspirational! lol

Imagine That Digistamp March 2017

This month I have used "Frogs in Love" just for a general card to show your love for someone.  This month I have used my prismacolor pencils instead of Copics - needless to say I am still learning how to use them!  Thank you Imagine That Digistamp for this digi set.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #2

For this month's challenge, I have decided to showcase a digital stamp from Ericraft, this month's challenge sponsor.  This stamp is called "Merry Cocky".  I love using Aussie stamps as our Christmas is in the summer season - no snow for us Aussies!  I have also used some chipboard from Scrapmatts, another Australian company.  The holly sprig I coloured with Copics but the bauble was already in that shade.

The Outlawz March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month we have a beautiful image "Spring Window" from Beccy's Place. From a fellow Australian I thank you Beccy for this digi.  When I saw the window, I thought straightaway I must use bricks as a background and I could not resist adding a few cats, my favourite pet.  Thank you for looking at my card and don't forget to check out Beccy's Place.  She has some lovely digital stamps and lots of technique tutorials on her website.

Scrapper's Delights Inspirations 16th March 2017

For my inspirational card for this fortnight's Inspiration Thursday, I have used Fantasy Mushrooms 1  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_161&products_id=742 as the background and the free image Easter Bunny in the foreground mounted with foam tape. As I forgot on my progressive challenge piece for March, I have used the DT Optional Twist Theme recipe of purple, 3 flowers and ribbon. Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday 2nd March 2017

Bit of a story to go with this creation - I was getting into the Easter mode and thought the bunny suit would be nice in pink and then when I finished my card I realised I was working with Baby Boo Boy, not Baby Boo Girl which is also available in the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3_75&products_id=667
Well not all girls have plaits do they and boys look good in pink?  Baby Boo Bunny Boo has such a cute face, he/she could be either.  What a versatile stamp1

Imagine That Digistamp February Link-up

This month I have chosen "Hello Kitties" from, of course, Imagine That Digistamp.  I love any cat/kitten images, they get me in every time.  I decided to leave this card blank for any occasion.  I think just the "Hello" says enough on the front and then you can write whatever you wish inside.  Maybe a thank you note, or just a note to let a friend know how you value their friendship.  I have fussy cut a second image and cut out the flowers and mounted them with foam tape, so they pop.  Hope you like my creation.  See you next month.

From the Heart Stamps February Free Stamp of the Month Challenge

It was so good to hear that Faith from From the Heart Stamps was back with the Free Stamp of the Month Challenge.  I wish her all the best as her health improves day by day, but don't overdo it Faith - your followers will understand if you miss a month - your health comes first.  This month we were given "Hogs and Kisses" a great digi for Valentine's Day.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #01

For my third entry in the above challenge, I have chosen yet another Aussie artist's digi - Naz again from Sasayaki Glitter.  I am getting in early this year with creating Christmas cards.  I just love this image but didn't get around to using it last Christmas.  It is called "Shy Christmas Present".  Shy is featured in more of Naz's images.  He is so cute and shy too!

This is my second entry for the above challenge.  This time I have used a Sasayaki Glitter image "Turtle and Duck". I decided to make a get well card with this digi and my colouring of Turtle certainly did make him look sick, but Duck is there to help him.
