Oddball Art Co. Christmas Cards
Well, Oddballs, any celebrations you attended for "Christmas in July" are done and dusted and we are on the downward slide to Christmas 2018 - where did the year go?
Our Oddball theme is "Lost Souls of Innocent Dolls". Well, ever since I heard that theme, all I could think of was all the little girls in the world asking Santa for dolls, so I decided to pick out an image that reminded me of a little girl and I came up with
#357: Alex at Christmas Holiday Alex: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-kawaii-big-eye-alex-at-christmas-holiday-alex-image-no-357
For added interest I also used
#260: Cute Kawaii Bear on Stack of Presents: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-cute-kawaii-bear-on-stack-of-presents-image-no-260
and #97: Kawaii Bunny One Dollar Stamp: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/printable-stamp-kawaii-bunny-digital-download-image-no-97

Hope you like the start of my cards for Christmas 2018, say it slower and it might not get here so fast.
I also made this last one using an image I purchased from Oddball Stamps, even before I became a DT member. This is the link #389: Christmas the capricious carolers: https://www.oddballartco.com/product-page/digital-stamp-big-eye-whimsical-christmas-the-capricious-carolers-image-no-389
This image is great for Christmas cards and also includes sentiments. Please don't forget when purchasing from our shop include my discount code to save you 10% on your order.

Ericraft Stamps "Winter Woolies"
Today I am featuring another new release digital stamp from Ericraft Stamps. This time I have used "Winter Woolies" available here.
A crafty friend of mine has so kindly invited me into the Planner World, another addiction I can see happening. She even gave me a Mini Happy Planner for next year to record all my Design Team and craft work. Today I have made this inspirational card for my planner. It can be used in the Mini Happy Planner or the Classic model, which I might have purchased to start organising my life away from craft, and believe me that is going to take more than the mini to achieve. The inspirational quote I found to go with Winter Woolies will also remind me that to achieve what I want to do, I will have to move. Having this planner in my life, also opens my mind to other things I can use my digital stamps for - namely decorating my planners! See, I told you, another addiction! This friend of mine is very good to me - she has introduced me to ATCs and planners, wonder what is next?
I hope you like it and check out Erica's Etsy shop because she still has her latest releases at a special price. Don't miss out, they are a bargain at AUD$1.65.

Ericraft Stamps "Toby"
Well I have procrastinated enough over this digital stamp, created by Erica. She drew this in honour of Toby, her dog for many years that recently went to doggie heaven. As soon as I saw this beautiful tribute and the love she put into the image, I thought immediately about a recent loss (around the same time as Erica) my daughter's family had - their beloved family pet, Scruffy. Here is a photo of him, my daughter rescued him when he was young while she was living in Narrabri, NSW.
As soon as I saw Erica's image, I thought I would give this a go, to colour it, along the lines of Scruff. Well, you can easily think it, but doing it is another issue. I had originally printed the image on Copic paper and thought later, how am I going to be able to do that wiry coat with Copics. I tried and after a bit more advice from the Ericraft DT members and Erica came up with this. Erica suggested the addition of pencils, well I found they did not like the Copic paper and pens so instead I went with a lead pencil. Here is my attempt.
At the moment my project is the square, (the dots are just the back of my planner). If I am printing a digi on digital paper, which this is, I place the image on the paper where I want it. do another copy of the exact image so I get the size right and put it next to it. When I have coloured the image on its own, I then fussy cut and place the coloured image over the original one with foam on the digital paper to give it the raised look thus creating the shadow.
I intend to use this square on a tribute double page scrapbook spread of Scruffy, but first I have to find the right paper (I know I have heaps of dog papers, just have to find in my stash) and of course more photos. The one I showed you above I scrapped already quite a while ago.
One day hopefully in the near future, I will get myself organised enough to find these items, but as you all know cleaning and organising your craft area/room/rooms is a never-ending project lol. It is certainly the case with me anyhow.
If you like Erica's image, maybe Toby reminds you of a dog you know, it can be purchased here and it is still the special price she puts on new releases, but be quick, she has added a few more since Toby, so who knows how long it will stay at that. A bargain at AUD$1.65 at the moment!

ATC Swap
I have made this ATC for the August ATC Swap for Oddball Art Stamps. The theme is "Lost Souls of Innocent Dolls". I have used the Oddball Art Co. IMG#4 and the words from the Cliff Richard hit "Living Doll"
"Living Doll" is a song written by Lionel Bart made popular by Cliff Richard and the Shadows (then still 'the Drifters') in 1959. It was the top selling single in the UK in 1959. It has topped the UK charts twice; in its original version in 1959 (their first number 1 single) and a new version recorded in 1986 in aid of Comic Relief.
I don't want to give away my age, but let's just say I remember the 1959 version lol

Orchid Fairy
I was asked by a friend to make a 21st card for her grand-daughter. I have a huge selection of digital stamps by Aurora Wings. Sometimes I will just open the folder and look at the beauty of them. I have in the past, printed some but that is as far as I go with them, as I feel I cannot do them justice, so I just continue to look at them and of course, add to my collection, whenever there is a new release.
Well, the request from my friend was it - no procrastinating this time! I was going to go into my folder and I chose "Orchid Fairy" available in Mitzi's store here
I have used this store since it was opened because I found it easier to put my images in the same sections Mitzi has listed - before that I did purchase from her Etsy shop which she also uses to showcase her talent.
Here is my card, I have coloured the image with Copics, used a card blank and the chipboard down the sides from Scrapmatts and the chipboard words are from Make It Crafty.
I have put a verse inside:

SheepSki Designs "My Favourite Things"
Our August theme over at the SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge is "My Favourite Things". I didn't have to think twice about this, especially when I looked at my SheepSki Designs digis folder. I LOVE CATS!!!! But the big question was which cat digi will I showcase, I have all of Andrea's I think. I could not make the choice .... then I came up with another idea.
My favourite craft at the moment is ATCs, so why not do ATCs with all of the cat digis I have and then I don't have to make the choice on my favourite SheepSki Designs cat image. I have also used my Prismacolors on this project, something I am not that confident with, but we have to practice these things we procrastinate about, don't we ladies - to get over that fear!
These are my ATCs - hope you like them.
We also have a Facebook Group Challenge, so if you do use a SheepSki Designs image, you can also enter that challenge with your project.
The link for the Group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/1730005463906336/ - hope you will join our group and participate in the challenges https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.2128278657412346&type=3. We have a lot of fun in this group, you won't be sorry.
And don't forget, most important, if you are looking in our Etsy Shop, you can save 10% on your order by using the code SKIANDREA10.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and I hope to see you in the Blog Challenge or the SheepSki Designs Digital Stamps Group on Facebook
