Gecko Galz Blog Challenge - Merry Mermaids

 For this challenge I decided to make some ATCs using Gecko Galz products.

I have used 3 stamps from Mermaids Garden Digital stamps | Etsy  and the ATC backs are from La Isla Bonita Digital ATC Set | Etsy.  I have coloured the digital stamps with everyday coloured pencils.

Sandra Caldwell 2nd August 2021 release

 Sandra has another release out for August.  I am showcasing #3670 Miss Rosie Gal available in the Etsy shop.

I have used a pearl card with a pink paper mat, then a sheet of digital paper from Vectoria Designs from the Mega Shabby Elegant Bundle. I coloured the image with pencils, inked a white paper doily and used foam tape to mount Miss Rosie Gal.  I found those roses in my flower stash.  They are a bit bulky but I will find an envelope to suit.

SheepSki Designs Facebook Challenge

 August's Facebook Group Challenge is "Free for All". What a great opportunity for me to complete another page in my Dragon Junk Journal using "Morpheus.  I have used everyday coloured pencils. some foam squares, some researching on Google and some gems from my large stash (that have been there for ages).  Don't you love it when you use something you have had for ages, I do!

Bizzy Bec's August inspiration

 Today I want to show you another couple of digi stamps available at Bizzy Bec's Cardmaking and Scrapbooking shop.  This time I want to work with some Christmas images - Mouse on Bauble and Mouse on Present.  I have dusted off my Prismacolor Pencils and Prismacolor colourless blender for this project and I must admit I have not done much with them.  I am so impressed with the Altenew Circular Elements die set I purchased from Bec.  This is going to be such a versatile die set to use for a lot of my creations.

I think it will be more important this year to get back into sending Christmas cards given the situation in New South Wales at the moment.

Sandra Caldwell August 2021 1st Release

Conie Fong Art & Design GDT

My inspiration for the Conie Fong Facebook Group today is a Christmas card I created using one of my most favourite Christmas digis from Conie called "Purrfect Kitties".

I have used pencils, glitter pens and Kindyglitz.  The base card is gold and I have matted the kitties with red paper.  Everything you need is in this set even the sentiment.  

Don't you agree it is the cutest Christmas digi ever, especially if you are a cat lover like me!

Guest DT for Conie Fong Art & Design

 I am privileged to be offered a guest spot for two months on Conie Fong's Design Team.  I have been buying Conie's images for many years and am a big fan of her talent.  Are you a member of her group on Facebook?  The link is here.

For my inspiration today I have chosen an image from my Conie Fong stash called Lavender's Blue.  I have coloured her using everyday coloured pencils and of course the dress in my favourite colour of purple/mauve using the pencils soft where needed.  I have used Kaisercraft Violet Crush for the designer papers, a doily, some foam tape, sequins and a sentiment and we are right to go.

Conie Fong Art has a great shop on Etsy and you can search in the sections that are down the side if you are looking for a particular theme.

Altenew Slim Sentiments Die Set 

Altenew Nesting Slim Rectangles Die Set

I coloured my anemones with pencils and used two of the rectangles dies.  I found the sentiments set great and was able to cut the six sentiments out of one scrap of cardstock giving me readily available sentiments when I want them.  I raised the middle flower with foam tape and used foam tape between the two nesting rectangles.

Don't forget our challenges are always "Anything Goes" and starts on the 5th through to the end of the month.  See you there!

Twistoon Christmas card

 I am still making Christmas cards whenever I get the chance.  This one is using a Twistoon stamp called "Dive Hug Santa".

For the background I have used some digital Christmas paper from Whimsy Stamps called "Christmas Roses and Snowflakes" and just matted it onto some red paper with a pearl white card, a brad and a ho, ho, ho and we all done.

SheepSki Designs August 2021 Blog Challenge

 SheepSki Designs optional theme for the August Blog Challenge is "Let's Be Cute".  I decided to work with one of Andrea's cute gnome images "Masked".  Actually I had coloured this image in traditional colours for last Christmas but didn't use it.  The other day I looked in my stash of images and found it again.

Well here in Sydney, Australia as I draft this post, we are in lockdown and have been since the end of June so I don't think my Christmas card will be far from the truth.  We are getting two weeks added each week we are supposed to finish.  If only people would obey all rules. 

  I decided it will probably be a groundhog Christmas following in last year's footsteps, so I found some groundhog cuties on Google and this is what I created.

Morgan's ArtWorld August Blog Challenge #8

 "Anything Goes" is our theme every month and this month I have chosen to work with Fae Children Broken Wing Greyscale.  I have chosen to start a Secret Garden junk journal and Broken Wing is the first stamp I have decided to work with.  This journal will feature fairy stamps and flowers and hopefully a few little fairy surprises throughout the pages.  I have used pencils for my colouring, some adhesive lace to hide a tiny error I made in printing the page.  Keep an eye out for other images I will put in this journal.
